Ride Report: 2021 Summer Solstice Ride

CARDO communicator installed and functioning.
Hydration pack filled up and cooling off.
Will oil the chain tonight.
Should've done an oil change but no time :(
And I already told my wife that I'm sleeping in the basement tonight so I can actually sleep without disruption and get a solid 5-6 hours.

Enjoy the ride guys and ride safe.
Wish I could join you on this.....
BTW the pierogi shack in Berry's Bay is a safe place to have lunch. Stopped by and had lunch there a few weeks ago. Officially certified.

Hey! Long time no see! Glad to see you back here.

There is no safe pierogi with no gallbladder. Dry and boring food for safety’s sake :(

Coffee is already set to brew at 4am.

Are you missing one or am I not getting it??

Good to "see" you too and glad your going with Shane tomorrow.
My summer is busy this year. Not sure if you guys did the "Pierogi Run" to Burkes Falls last year but I would be interested in that maybe in August.

@mimico_polak
Not sure if the route @shanekingsley has planned will be going through here tomorrow, but you would be close enough.

Maybe you can detour and catch up with the rest of the guys.

You need one of these pictures.

Haha ya I’m missing it….had gallstones and spent family day in the hospital waiting for ultrasound, CT scan and surgery.

All good now…but once in a while I’ll eat something that doesn’t sit right…or long…in my stomach.

Crap. Good to hear that you are good now.

Been raining off and on all day here. Hope the ride went well.

CB500X did great. But every time I ride with @shanekingsley i realize how slow I really am!

I hit 1038km but I bowed out at 2/3 as I was dead tired and saw myself making more and more mistakes and slowed reaction time.

Also got to meet @Hardwrkr13 and he’s also a very fast rider.

I need more training!

Weather was cooler than expected at first but great overall. Could really feel the scorcher south of the 407 when coming back to the city.

Had one pucker moment when I hit some major tar snakes. Took me way off balance and I ran wide through the corner. Glad there was nothing there.

Overall great day.

That is still some major one-day mileage, especially since you weren’t doing much riding this season .

Too true.

I already know I'm slow. But when riding with Shane, it's like "OMG RLY? OK CU@thenextstop then"
Haha that pretty much sums it up. I thought I was going fast until I see the 4 of them Zig and zag like pros.

Good times for all. And everyone seemed to enjoy the time.

and that's his old bike if I'm not mistaken.
Was there much gravel/sand in the corners?

1k km on the CBX ..pretty damn good if you have not ridden much. √

No. His newer FZ1. The old one is gone. Both of them. Some roads were worse than others but overall they were fairly clean.

Yes I was impressed with the X in terms of comfort. Wasn’t too bad at all. Put the AirHawk on for the ride home because I couldn’t feel my cheeks.

Lol Shane is getting a reputation :p

I gotta say i really enjoy the fall ride but the cb500x would've been a more comfortable choice for sure. Glad you enjoyed it @mimico_polak and glad you came out unscathed
If there’s a Fall ride I’ll sign up for that also.

I had the same experience with the kitchener boys, so I just hang back and let them do their thing, I was like damn, that @Wingboy might be old but he hauls ass!
