Red Light ticket ouch!

So I ended up paying for the ticket. Dam gov nickel and dime'ng. They add on another "convince fee" for paying online, F'ng jokers. Yeah it's like $2.80, but wouldn't it be a heck of a lot more expensive if I set a trial date for this. Dumbas's
Might want to look into that tidy plate after all...

After some thinking I like the mud idea someone mentioned.

Might need to have a jar with premixed mud on standby and apply it as "license plate lubricant" before each ride.
You know, sort of like blinker fluid.

I don't know. Lots of excuse for running a red. can't stop I will get rear ended....well then, you are approaching the intersection too fast - at the speedlimit, braking for a red is not a problem w/o slamming on the brakes... gov this that . its simple, take responsibility.

this is mr bean stuff lol

I just about went through a red on St Clair the other day due misreading the u turn signal thing. I hope they don't have cameras and I just started before I realized my error.

If you back up does it count?

Technically, crossing the line is running the red. You do not need to proceed through intersection to be guilty. I would hope that some common sense was used when reviewing images.

The cameras are farmed out to contractors who get a cut of the fine. They control all aspects of the lights, including duration. I know for a fact both Hamilton and Milton's yellow light durations have been shortened significantly, often leaving you in a damned if you do/don't situation re: braking safely, even at the speed limit.

You would think the length of the Amber light would be the same across ALL lights in the province. It would only be fair and make sense.
