Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Polar - Mads Mikkelsen, who has amazing presence as always, in a forgettable action movie that's not terrible. Nothing else to watch right now, so it's worth a watch if you're bored or can't sleep.

I like Mads Mikkelsen.

He was in a movie a while back that I really liked, The Door. A sci-fi-ish thriller.

If you can find it, watch it in German with subtitles, the English dubbing (like in the trailer) is very jarring.

No coincidence this is running now. Very well cast and so far brilliant editing.

Borat....childish, immature, puerile.......also cutting and quite brilliant at times.

You will cringe...you should laugh.

Look out for the Moon Blood Dance.

Not as funny as I remember the 1st one being, but definitely worth a watch.

On those metrics the first Borat seemed quite partisan too but perhaps more unintentionally?

thinking about that after I made the post
not sure the first one was picking winners/losers?

but it was 14 years ago, man things have changed in that time
everything is partisan political now

good review on the BBC mentions that. The first Borat was enduring, this one will be ephemeral because it’s focussed.

While I applaud his calling-out of idiots, etc., I simply can't watch the guy.

It's in Netflix in Spanish subtitled into English, I think its dubbed into English too but with a sucky dialogue and voice overs. I don't know why I liked this movie so much maybe it's because I love prison-related movies (ShawShank Redemption, Prison Escape) but this thing kept me at the edge of my seat from start to finish, just the ending ****** me off. I recommend you to watch it!

Finally got around to watch this

Couldn't figure why area they filmed and the vegetation was familiar. Filmed just north of where I live in Australia. ?
Quite a cast.

A Million Ways To Die In The West

watched it again and enjoyed it tremendously
def low brow comedy and not much of a story line
but sometimes that's okay

the giant block of ice scene still makes me LMAO

was surprised to see it universally panned by all the critics/rating sites
33% positive on RT
