Rant: pulled out of my M test

I had my M test tomorrow and just today my bike decided to give up on me. V-belt or the clutch plates started slipping and I barely got home riding at 7000 rpm. I have a bunch of expletives I want to shout out loud but FML. To add to this I have an upcoming trip next weekend and I'm moving to a new place right before that. My brain is drawing blank now as I can foresee my entire month's paycheck will be vapourised in getting this sorted. Seriously FML.

That is all.

Have you already cancelled? I have a Burgman 400 you could borrow for the test...

I sent a mail to the mtohp organizer that I'm having issues with the bike. I didn't know what to do.

I'm not sure if I can use someone else's bike as they are checking the insurance and ownership documents 😭

You can use anyones bike, even rent one. As long as it is properly registered and insured, lights, horn etc work.

Ticks all the boxes @Evoex mentions. Let me know, could meet you at the test centre if that works...

Excellent, no go ace your road test tomorrow. You rock @Priller!

As for your other bike, google clutch replacement. It's really not that complicated and if you're handy and have a decent selection of tools. It's a lot cheaper to fix it yourself than to get a shop to do it.

Thank you.

I've messaged my landlord if I could just rent the garage for a month more. If she says ok. I'll do it myself. 🤞🏼

I think he has a tmax. Looks like it may be closer to a snowmobile than a motorcycle clutch. May just need a belt.

It's actually a wet clutch -- Clutch Disc Set Malossi Yamaha T-Max - Distribution Scootertuning

One-half of the internet tells me it's the belt... The other half tells me it's the clutch plate...

I'll get them both sorted for my piece of mind. The screws for both these parts are partly stripped- makes me wonder if one of the previous owners did something they shouldn't have.
