Power to weight of a Ferrari

Bikes are a bit faster since 2002 me thinks.
Nurburgring??? Lol, sure pick a track that is deadly to motorcyclists......self preservation wont slow them down a bit.
The MV Augusta record you speak of was in 2008.
I ride Mosport every year thanks. Do you, or just your "friend"? If you did you'd know
Bikes and cars dont mix. A stock 600 will run 1:27s.
What does a stock GTR do? This guy managed 1:37, but at 6/10s lol. Couldnt find much else, but with a good driver sub 1:30s are possible but certainly wouldnt smoke a SS.

on street tires, the car was so composed, so comfortable, so flat and relaxed the driver was basically saying you point this thing and shoot. he was driving it maybe 6/10th's at the most and we were turning 1.37's

Maybe 1:37 for a GTR isnt bad:

Did I ever say he was my friend and that I was a good race car driver? I am well aware they do not have events that race bikes with cars. But I was assuming with a lot of cash, you can rent out the track to do whatever you want. And you keep resorting back to stock vs stock. An ALMS GT car will beat any bike on a track. The SS is cute with a 1:26 on the track. Forget that weak stuff and get a world superbike spec RSV4 Factory. Cut that time by like 16 seconds and its still at 1:10 mark while the Audi R10 will still be faster by quite a margin.

The topic was bike vs car aerodynamics so doesn't matter if we put heavily modded cars and bikes in the discussion. At the end of the day, 4 wheels have potential to be faster than 2 wheels. End of discussion. F1 is a prime example of 4 wheels will destroy 2 wheels. There is no way you can justify a MotoGP bike beating an F1 car. If you still insist bikes are faster than sure, whatever makes you sleep at night lol I'm not going to try and prove anything anymore.

Why would I care about full out race cars that none of us will ever touch? This thread is about street vehicles (Ninja 300 ). Race cars are faster because of downforce which street cars dont have. End of discussion.

I pointed out the aerodynamics as a cool fact to add along ItIsWhatItIs discovery of ratios. I swear, when some riders find out bikes are not the ultimate vehicle at EVERYTHING they act like they just found out their 8CM schlong, which they been bragging about, is actually supposed to be 8 INCHES to be above average.

Didn't see anywhere that says street vehicles only. If you want to talk about vehicles that the "average" person can afford then obviously bikes are faster. But if you are balling out of control, you can probably buy a previous generation BMW M3 GT used in the ALMS for $300-500K and that car is a beast. With a proper driver, no bike will beat it on a track.

I don't know about you but if I had the money for a car I want (Exige, GTR, Reventon) I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle much lol
Most of us like bikes because for $9000 you can do something most $70,000~ sport cars can't.

If I was rich, I wouldn't have even gotten my motorcycle license lol Buy a Ferrari 458 and mod the **** out of it :D

Here's another question. What requires more skill or training to get a good time on track? How would a 2 years rider do on a 1000SS vs a 2 years driver in a vette? What about someone with a bit more experience, lets say 5 years?

Go drive your expensive Ferrari around Mosport, then try it on two wheels.

You'll soon realize that four wheels are for wankers. :) that have no balls.

Maybe; but there is no debate that Formula One is scary as hell.

Really, when was the last time you drove one?

LOL.

That McLaren is pureee sex! And Jayv, I wish I had a Ferrari to drive around Mosport. You can call me a wanker and have no balls all you want while I enjoy my ride in the Ferrari :) I want that McLaren MP4-12C GT LOOOL :D

Perhaps you'd be better off driving the Ferrari to Glen Abbey or Yorkdale, to hang out with the rest of the eunuchs and their fancy cars ;)

He doesn't need to drive one to know it would be scary fast. F1 cars can pull 4 G's laterally. If anything, it takes more balls to drive an F1 car than to ride a bike lol

Isle of Man vs Monaco, nice try omg a F1 is sooo scary.

Nice comfy monocoque complete with carbon fibre....a survival cell you say??

There isn't a need to drive one. Just go look at the stats, watch some first person cams of races, then play some simulation games (and crash a lot). I'll emphasis the game part. Once you get all the cornering down you'll realize one thing, you can't simulate g force.

I don't know about you, but 40km/h right hand turns on my motorcycle feel like nothing, on my car it feels like ****. Add 100+km/h to that.

The TT hasn't gained enough attention for someone to slap it yet like F1 a while back (F1 cars now are slower than the ones from a certain date, I don't remember when, it was due to ppl...well, dying). Instead, why don't we just throw both vehicles onto nurburgring. Remember that some of those markings are for ppl who died.
