Haven't done anything to it yet. So nothing special. Actually not even sure where to start.

The only way to settle this is a 9 laps battle Shaman vs ZX600.
Going to have to go with shaman he's a pretty quick mf when on a solid bike.
Say what? It was my first time riding Taverner's 1000 at speed and my first time riding the 600 after the crash I had, which makes everything an unknown. Last year, my old 600 was literally worn out, ~130# compression in most of the cylinders. I was aware of it and decided to ride it anyway - the issues I had were very real with that bike, and fixing the problems between rounds wasn't in the cards with what needed to be done (obviously I checked valve clearances). I am far from the only amateur racer with bike issues, more than one amateur motor ended up in shreds last weekend at the National, should they be criticised because their bikes unexpectedly died when they did regular maintenance? Or is that part of racing? Should we look down our nose at them? Or should we applaud that they did what they could do, even when they knew they had a disadvantage?
You think I didn't have a professional look at my bike? I had multiple professionals look at the bikes. Paid the money, still had failures. Multiple people in the pits had Bazzaz failures. Ask Phil Leckie, his Bazzaz QS failed on the weekend too. He's Pro. You bring a spare, it fails. You've got a 200hp bike that randomly fails to shift, what now? You disable the QS but you have to leave the strain gauge in place because the rods require it, and the engine cuts out randomly. What now?
I'm supposed to say, what? "Everything was awesome but I just didn't have pace", when the bike didn't even want to start? I raced anyway! I didn't sit in the @#$% pits and cry, I got on the bike and I did what I could do. The bike failed me, no surprise but I did it anyway. Not good enough for you? Maybe you're right, maybe I just suck at racing and should give it up. Why even try? Why not just come on GTAM and criticise people for not winning?
Man, I thought you raced. No amateur racer, especially in Canada, is any stranger to adversity. Very damned few of us can really afford what we're doing, much less to do everything boutique and fancy. Must be nice to live in a world where all your equipment works exactly like it should, all the time. Sure would hate it if you came out to race and your bike broke, and somebody tried to make you feel worthless about it.
Lets make bets then. I'm down for $100 on Shama

Mine didn't go nearly so well. Had setup issues and major electronic issues throughout the weekend. My second lap out I was right behind you and then the engine started cutting out, literally lunging forward and then dying in some kind of cycle.
B bike is now ready. A bike's valves, springs, retainers, seats came in just yesterday :/ The bike never ran properly all last year and I started the job in November...
I could actually use one, my rad is a bit beat up, hard to say how many more events I'll get out of it. Not at $600 used, though. Then again, I don't need the fan.

I have raced at shannonville once, I assume from your comment that you were there when I finished 0.1 sec from the podium?Going to have to go with shaman he's a pretty quick mf when on a solid bike.

Ore maybe Shaman has raced at Grand Bend?
Dricked was a middle of the pack rider at GB (he was on a 600) so I assume that he must be a slow guy?
Hard to say who does what against who until both are on a track at the same time
and again, who cares.

I'm just saying I've seen shaman ride and when things are going good he's pretty quick for an AM. I got a $100 on him if there is a race with the 2 of you in it. Who is dricked is he any good? lol

Oh god I am too old for a gtam faceoff or conflict - Racing is supposed to be for fun at club racer level and not a school yard brawl.
Paul knows who Derrick is, I think he is not getting my point that being fast at GB or any specific track does not measure the persons real ability or lack off. How many real fast SOAR racers go race at another track and do poorly. Being fast at GB or not does not mean that person is going to be fast or not at shannonville or Mosport or etc.
Anyways....
