I highly doubt a common thief on the street will be that smart. If they were they would not just be a "common bike thief" they might aim for some bigger targets.

Another point is, what if they know where your bike is and know what garage u store it in, does that mean my neighbors will break into my garage while I sleep? I am sure at least 50 ppl around my block know where I live

Dude I know you and Like you but your statement makes no sense what so ever. These guys are not just commun thiefes since tehy have suscesfully stolen bikes for years without any issues. Hopfully your neighbors are decent citizens

Most thieves are eventually caught and, if you check into it, you'll find that they generally have rather large criminal records. They aren't generally rocket scientists, but rather are successful because of the lack of ability to pursue every vehicle theft case.

Agree with your statements but they are most likely young guys that will know how to very easily do what DJ did.

Maybe it's just me, and I will stop posting in here but I am trying for people to realize that they are making a mistake by posting in here...on my opinion and I think DJ demostrated why.

I also like looking at others peoples bikes

How can they do that eh!!

Hmm.. lets see...

recent picture, this one for example..I recognized this right away as being taken with a cell phone!

The "A" is the approximate address - the green arrow is where the bike was during the picture..

All this, without leaving my desk.

Wow - that really sucks. Fortunately, it's not where I live. I won't be taking pictures with the cellphone anymore!

PS:
2 bike thief: Dear Bike Thief, even you could get any gps info from this pic (which I'm not sure about:D), don't go there, the bike was at the location for only about 15 min and is not there anymore...

I just stated a simple idea that are worth thinking about. I did not say that to antagonise you.

Isn't there just easier solution? Don't take a picture of your bike at the spot you store it, if you wanna post it here:laughing1: In this case no GPS info will help to locate your bike:D:D:D
PS: this advise was for free - use it and don't worry:binky:

Almost doesn't look like a 2fiddy...
& can someone tell me if the exif data's showing? From my mac, it seems fine. But then again, it's a mac - it never gives detail.

No EXIF data...
If you lack a good imaging software to read it, try http://exifdata.com/

Don't underestimate the organization of rings of thieves, yes some are local guys with jacked minivans watching condos.
Some have relationships with service departments at dealers, many people looking out for specific bikes, are very computer savvy and steal to order.
You can put 4 cars in a container @ 50K per car, or 40 bikes @ 10k.....
Cant go through life paranoid, but you do need caution in your life these days and most people leave a digital trail they never imagined existed.

nice invisible bikes you have there....

very custom!

Don't u see the termignoni exhaust he is rocking? Are u going blind now?:laughing1:
