Some interesting stats on this "mega" thread:

As of June 18, 2010 at 1:22PM:

2719 replies
374,990 views
206 attachments

Therefore, an average of 1 photo for every 13 replies.

Of the total replies, approx. 35% (947 replies) come from only 47 members who posted 10 or more times. The maximum was 62 replies.

Perhaps a cleaning is in order to scale down this thread in an effort to make it more manageable and easier to navigate?

Personally, I would rather look at photos than all the associated commentary.

Your stats are WAY off....

206 attachments does not mean 206 images!
How many hundreds of linked images were hosted on other servers?

Yeah most people host them elsewhere...

Good point, and that will certainly add the image count, when the link is not dead.

My argument is that we need to clean up the thread and remove dead links and comments without photos attached, and set-up posting rules in order for this thread to become a sticky.

No way man....

who would post in this thread then!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't people only post pictures here to read the comments people have to say about their bikes? (nice bike, Love your bike, sweet ride man, etc).

People can post pics of their awesome bikes, and people can comment on those bikes, and in some cases ask the image poster where he/she acquired something that caught their eye in the photo.... and usually the OP elaborates on that item.

I think this thread is fine the way it is. cleaning up dead or broken links is one thing! But I am again'st deleting comments.

Yes, we need to delete comments and posts without photos attached, like this post.

+1. Can virtually gaurantee that if a cop tries to run your plate a pullover will ensue.

No sir if you know our Ontario regulations that bracket is perfectly legal.
To add to that, I had a cop run my plate right in front of me. Never said anything, just drove off.

why so much hate on my bike lol.
envy muahahaha

Care to elaborate on the perfectly legal plate? I'm interested to know what you would say to a cop if in fact he found that plate to be a violation.

Good luck with that plate!

I drove past a cop on the highway at 130kph while texting and he never said a thing - I guess that means it's OK to speed now, and texting is now permitted?

No its the fact that the plate is not obstructed by anything. When you're behind me it's clearly visible, and has a tag light as well, which most bikes dont have. 407 sees that plate just fine, ask their billing department.

Bunch of bitter girls on here, trying to nit pick at my bike. Getting bent out of shape...lol Ride your own and I'll ride mine. You're either hating cuz you ride a cruiser or just jealous ? Never the less, I'll still give you a wave when I ride by even if you look away ( personal cruiser favorite )

Nobody is nit picking. It's just that those with far more experience than you are trying to share their experience with you. Of you'd rather not learn from their mistakes, that's fine too. You are of course entitled to make those same mistakes and learn from them however you wish.

We will wave at you too! Oh, and I can only speak for myself on this, but I am by no means jealous!

Simply stating a fact. Many people, with plates that are far more easily read than yours, have been given equipment tickets for their plate mounting. It is not clearly visible from behind due to partial obstruction from the brake light bar, the rear tire, and the tail of the bike. It is not mounted flat to an observer, making it far more difficult to read.

Plates mounted in that way are frequently seen by police as a sign of a runner, making you more likely to be stopped simply for a document check, if nothing else. Non-stock lights and plate mounting draws attention; not the sort that you want.

I don't make this stuff up. I simply report on it.
