HAAHAHAHAHA. I've recently seen a PASSENGER with a full 2 piece Dainese on at the 403/Dundas tim hortons. I LOL'd hard.

Unless you are going to 2 up at a track, that's just way too much gear lol.

Why not, if they can afford it?? 2 pieces are meant for the street. If I was going on a long ride I'd be more concerned with my girl's safety than mine. Who knows, maybe they had been out all day...

If you've never worn a proper 2 piece which I'm guessing you haven't, you have no idea how much more comfortable it makes a long ride by acting like a brace and reducing the fatigue on your body especially when sitting in a sports position.

Should I post some gruesome before/after car accident pics too? How about some bicycle pics? How would that make any difference?

Bottom line is.. what other people wear is no one else's business.

Dude, that's straight dumbass logic. Of course it all depends on circumstances but the difference is something is nearly entirely preventable whereas the other is not. You can't stop someone crashing into your car, but you can at least be wearing a seatbelt so maybe you don't go flying through the windshield...same idea. You might not be able to prevent your fall but at least you can mitigate the damage and get back to riding as soon as you pick your *** up and dust yourself off rather than being road meat.

Its a little bit our business, just a little when our tax dollars are paying for these idiots when they'd be fine had they been wearing something decent. You went down last season at what 40-50 km/h? Your gloves fell apart...call them defective or whatever you want, bottom line is they did their job. How the hell do you think your skin would have fared had you been wearing none?

I notice nobody mentioned setting the "sag".

Like this?

This chick is the ultimate squid. One pebble could have taken her from the sexy little thing that she is, to never wearing a bikini again:

Common sense prevails. Visualize your fall in slow motion - hands out, elbows hit, roll to one side, knees, back, butt is the landing. At the very least, the Kevlar jeans shown in this thread with gloves and some elbow pads would suffice on a hot day.

Before this thread gets out of hand, remember that there are cruiser guys chiming in here who are quite happy cruising the speed limit feeling the wind and there are guys that go road-hunting up north on superbikes to do some corners and extreme speeds. Same two wheels, yet two entirely different situations.
