Just a way to personalize our car

The panda has a springy head so it thumps with the subwoofer in the trunk 😆

And no women approach me due to the sticker on the back..

What is it with Asians and those silly things on the dashboard of a car? @george__ please help me understand....like wtf.

Hello Kitty, weird things dangling from the mirrors, bumping their heads up and down on the dash...I must be out of it.
I've never done it but find it wholesome when I see it lol

I guess it's similar to me putting a Pikachu sticker on my track bike when I used to ride; I wanted to piss off all the insecure riders I managed to pass by letting them know I'm a nerd <_< I'm 99% sure that is not why people put Totoros and Harros Kitties on their cars though.

Do these attract chicks or what's the deal? Genuinely curious.
.....now that you mention it, yes. I remember this was an ice breaker topic when I was chasing Azn Grills.

Who still has a working modem? Or a phone line to plug it into for that matter.
I might! I can remember when connecting directly to TPL to put a book on hold was still easier than using their website.

A bunch of BBSs did survive for a while over telnet, I can't say I know much about that scene currently but there's gotta be some out there

.....are you a furry? Not judging, but your display pic lmaoooo

I have one. But it's a PCMCIA one.

Who even has a PCMCIA slot anymore?!?

And if you had one of those old-style 300 baud acoustic coupler modems, what phone are you going to interface it with? It's a never-ending cascade of technology pre-reqs...

I don’t use any of them except for being a member of a few boards and Linkedin for work.

Twitter was actually fun for the first few months it was in existence. It started off as a clear pool where people could come to be refreshed and share ideas and opinions. Now it’s just a scummy stagnant cesspool where everyone comes to piss… LOL.

also go on reddit from time to time, never seen so many dad jokes in one place

Used to use discord a lot for gaming, but nowdays its used by/for everyone/everything

From the list: Facebook - use mostly for motorcycle, bicycle, and car stuff. Amassed a grand total of 60 friends over 13 years, 45 are people I've known for years, the other 15 are bicycle/moto people. Couple of other specialty groups - German Shepherds and music (CFNY page). Instagram - dummy account simply so I can scroll through more than half a page without getting locked out when I'm looking at pics. Redit - have it for one sub, mostly. r/formuladank - the sub description "The land of the Formula 1 golden shitposts and memes" pretty much says it all. I go to r/burlington once in a while to stay up to date on local first world problems. Got kicked out of r/ontario when a bunch of militant unionists (guess which one) Karen'd en masse on my posts in a thread. Forums/message boards - Duh. I'm here, aren't I? Most are moto/bicycle/car related. a few tech sites. YouTube - have a dozen or so videos downloaded. Use it mostly for the Save For Later function.

I lurk on FB to keep tabs on friends / family, rarely post. Unfollow the people that post dozens of witticisms a day.

I go on here too often and check in on a Goldwing site that has gone five-star redneck every month or two.

If someone needs to get in touch and they are anything to me they will have my contact info and I'll have theirs.

I don't care what anyone had for lunch or what was said at the lunch.

The people I see with massive numbers of "Friends" are too often shallow.

I unfriended my sister-in-law because she was dumping her MLM sales crap on me.

I don't get it. A friend (who is far from shallow) has 700+ people on her friends list. Asked her why, her response was a lot of them are people on the Leafs Nation page. Next question, how do you put up with all the "noise" on your feed. I block their notifications. QED, then they're not your friends, at least not by my definition of the word. Got a sigh and an eyeroll, and that was the end of that.

Everyone on my friends list is someone I will sit down and have drinks with. My friend above's little sister occasionally reposts those dumb type amen and.....posts. I mock her in the comments. She threatens to fight me. I reply bring it, little one (and post the GIF below). She calls me an a'hole. We both laugh.

I use internet forums because, well, I'm here. (a few others as well) - For anything that involves retention of useful information, these are the best.

I watch youtube videos routinely.

I use facebook because it's useful for seeing what people are up to.

I have an instagram account but haven't found much use for it.

I have a Twitter account but I have limited to following strictly motorcycle-roadracing people and topics - nothing else. Haven't found much use for posting anything. More useful in the last week to keep tabs on the nonsense in Ottawa. Useless for retaining useful information or searching.

I cannot figure out Reddit. Don't know what to do with it.
