Pickup Trucks

I use the 2x4 method (2x8 actually). Not only is it cost effective but if you're out and the sudden need to fit something big back there comes up the board stows out of the way easily unlike a proper bed organizer that will always be in the way.

Check the level

You would think that it came with proper oil levels.

Call the dealer and have them document it. Just in case.
Make a record of it on your end as well.

So now that I’m a truck guy….

What’s recommendations for organizing the bed? For now I threw in some 2x4s in the slots to prevent wife’s stuff from rolling about (most important reason to replace GTI is so she can use it…happy to say she took it to work today)!

Thinking of a bed extender that flips back in to keep things secure as a nicer option and just trying to figure out if I need a dedicated vehicle specific one or can I use a generic / universal option.

I’ve got a tri-fold tonneau cover but would like rails on it to install additional storage similar to below…recommendations that don’t cost 3k or more!?

After 300km of driving…it drives well. Accelerates well, stops decent, but cornering is obviously a weak point. Happy so far except for ‘low oil pressure’ light that came on 3x and then disappeared.
I have a folding hard tonneau on my Ranger and have been told I cant use anything like the Elevate with it. I am using roof racks (from my old vehicle with new feet) and a bed extender from CT. The extender goes two ways so you can load long loads out the back or high, even with the roof racks.

It is on sale until today, order it online for pickup to get that price unless you can get there before it closes tonight. I think they have the same one at Princess Auto and Amazon

PS. Do you have a bed liner? Mine is sprayed and things were sliding around a lot. I just put in a fitted bed mat and so far it seems to be working to stop things moving around so much.

Thanks @hdsomeday that was a bed extender I considered also, but for now that won’t work for what I want to do…load up bed and cargo box to maximize space for camping.

I thought I had the drop in liner, but I noticed the back of my truck window had a spray in liner sticker…so I took a close look and it’s spray in instead of drop in…nice surprise.

I’m looking for a mat now but half the FBMP sellers are flakes recently.

EDIT: this is the type of bed extender that I’m looking for…

I read the Sport Trac one would fit my car…will have to do some digging

Not a truck question per se...but is anyone aware of a site / resource where I can check what wheels work with which cars?

I'm in need of winter tires and I believe that the wheels from certain Ford Bronco / Escape / Mavericks will work...I don't want to make an expensive mistake like with my Rogue years ago where the bolt pattern fit...but the offset was wrong and CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK was happening within a few seconds of moving.

I'm guessing it will be an electric Ridgeline kinda thing which isn't a terrible idea.

Finally got my first oil change done on my F150 (7000km on the odo) and since I was babying the motor during break-in I had the dealer reset the transmission learning so that it can learn my usual driving habits.
KIA is killing it with their EVs.

Good looking. Good size. Good overall reviews and features from my understanding.

Forums/fb groups for your model are normally the best. Technically, you could determine the BCD, hub diameter, offset, rim width of stock wheels and compare those against other options but finding all that information is tough. It's a lot easier to search and see that Billy bob installed 285/65 on 20" Bronco rims and stock suspension and they only rub at full lock.

That's cool. What generated that image? Normally finding all that data is work.

200Nm torque? wtf? That's really high. I guess they used larger bolts because it's a truck?
Maverick has M15 X 1.5 and I’m shocked at the 200Nm…mind you that’s only 147ftlb.

Highest I’ve seen on my cars is 120ftlb.
