In many cases, leather comes from animals that are killed for food. In a majority of cases, fur comes from animals that are killed for just their fur and the remains are left to rot. There are some gray areas like coyotes or Chinese badgers, but I'm talking about the general trend.
@Caboose483: I used that on people who refused to see that what I didn't eat wasn't of their concern and got all in my face with silly arguments. But honestly, I met more people who got all offended by what I chose to not eat than people who just accepted it and left it alone.
