Yes if you read the wiki article posted you would know that it involves moto gp and superbike

Not in the context of your response it doesn't. Jap bikes left moto GP because of cost, that article and the entire conversation is about WSBK.

I agree with you bro, so many people here compare the WSBK bikes to the bikes you buy from the dealership, but they fail to realize the WSBK bikes are almost completely different(after at least 50-80k euro of upgrades). What they should compare is bone stock bikes vs. bone stock bikes, and that is why those stock shootout results/data are so important.

and that dude claiming his modded suzuki can spank a S1000RR? haha LMAO. Man, its just a suzuki, the baseline of all baseline of motorcycle, its like saying my car has 4 wheels.

Yes actual data is better than an opinion.
And what make won the Canadian Superbike championship which is much closer to the bikes we buy of the showroom floor and can actually recreate without spending $200000 like in world superbike?

Brett probably would have won on whatever bike he rode.

And Foggy, Biaggi wouldnt?

I didnt bring up racing in this thread, but what bike is closer to The bikes we ride......canadian superbike or world superbike?

Can and has. I could buy two of them for the price of one BMW. Does that interfere with your view of the world? It seems to.

CSBK of course.
Arsenal, you have no idea what your talking about in regardes to these gsxr's.

I honestly don't care about anything suzuki makes, especially after the introduction of the S1000RR in the 1000c class in 2009. The Bimmer changed the entire landscape in one night, and so many jap bike fanboys found it hard to accept this simple truth.

My limited knowledge about suzuki mainly comes from the shootout results/data presented by various magazines, and for the past 3 years no one could touch the s1000rr in stock form, not even remotely close. This is a fact, not an opinion.

You know.......... you can't race a magazine.

My guess is that furious masturbation is more your kind of competition.

Suzukis are cheap bikes but they work. How many AMA championships do they hold? I'm not anti BMW but its not the absolute end all be all of motorcycles and sure as hell doesn't become a magic spaceship that will fly you to the moon past everything on two wheels.

In the voting, seems to be a close race between the aprilia and the bmw. Lets get some more votes here people :)
Surprised the duc is not doing so well in the poll. Lets go rsv4!

Under history of 2003 in that article
"In 2003 the FIM changed the rules to allow 1,000 cc machines (either twins, triples or four-cylinder) to race. Rule changes in MotoGP to allow four-stroke engines meant that the Japanese manufacturers focused their resources there, leaving the Superbike World Championship with limited factory involvement[SUP][5][/SUP] (only Ducati and Suzuki)."

how does this not involve moto gp and superbike?

okay this is starting to get too convoluted lol im out

lol magazine racers murf and arsenal in full effect

They don't wanna talk about actual racing, and they don't wanna talk about actual riding, but they're glued to charts and graphs in publications lol

BMW was so focused on beating the Japanese that they created just another Japanese bike. Bland shape, bland styling, nothing at all of a soul to differentiate it from the rest of the pack. The Italians are masters in this genre, and it's why the Panigale is infinitely more desirable to most people than a vanilla S1000RR. The curves, the shape, the sound, the soul....... ohh so sweet.

I think its funny that this guy is trying to argue with Shaman about bikes with what he read in a magazine...

Because shootout results are facts.. not opinions???
hahahahahaha

Let him have it... its what he tells all the boys at Timmies when he pulls up on the S1.

Validation. He's starving for it.

^^This^^

The rider makes the difference. 10-20 hp more doesn't make much difference when you can't use it. for whatever reason. Whether it's the surface, the length of the road/track. The difference in real world performance is too close to call.

It all comes down to who's riding it.

I guess that makes sense, if I rode a monocle wearing flatfish I would want to convince people it was a better bike too.
