O'Toole wins nomination - is he our next Prime Minister?

Does that worry you more than the $600k/mo spent by ultra left Elementary school teachers union? Or the $500k/mo spent by the Ontario healthcare unions on anti PC radio and TV ads?

Or does it just worry you that a right is outscoring the left with 1/20th the funding and doing it with truths?

Come on MM, I expect better. Not sure how you equate me questioning the founder of a potentially far right (if I'm wrong, please correct me) Facebook group managing the campaign of the PC candidate to anything in your post.

I do worry that divisive American style politics, both in discourse and policy, is creeping into the Canadian landscape.

Edit: Does anyone know what O'Toole's slogan, "Take Back Canada," actually means? Sounds a bit too similar to "Make America Great Again." A quick google search didn't give any answers.

well the far right generally wants to go back in time to some supposed “better age” whereas I’d rather look to a progressive future

How much different is that then unions sitting with liberal strategy teams? I merely contrasted shady union tactics are something we ought to be just as concerned about. Maybe more concerned as they are more self serving and agenda bending... at least for now.

I don’t agree. By political standards, Canadian PCs would be defined as progressive centrist - as right as you may like to think the are, they are still left of America’s Democrat’s.

Interesting. Official slogan is apparently "true blue leadership" and that is on his website/logo but "take back canada" was also associated with him. I don't like either one.
