I'm impressed that you know this. They typically go for $10k to $20k. Anything higher is made of some sort of exotic skin usually.

Oh please, we spend a great deal of money on our bikes and other hobbies. Collectors spend money on their items. Some people spend money on vacations. Some on video games. Some on smokes. The market is the market. It's a luxury item for a reason.

Well apparently this blew up in her face as the sympathy she was expecting was nothing but. She apologized after more of the story came out. They found the store and the clerk and the true story came out, where she was already being shown 10 and 20K purses and when she asked for the 38K one, she was told that its not worth it, that the 20K ones were a better deal. That is a much different story than the one she insinuated and tried to paint it as a black woman walking in and being ridiculed out of the store.
I think I just picked out my donor, Is anyone interested in making some extra cash
Hmmm, I know quite a few people who are a waste of skin.

Even if that was true, it's the SA's job to sell or show you what you want to see. Discrimination or not, the sales person was unprofessional (keep their opinion to themselves).

Huge difference between necessity and stupidity. No one needs a purse that costs that much. Some can be had for mere hundreds that all the stars like. This was just extravagant and a waste. What makes it worth that? Because someone made it? Is it platinum? Gold? I think not.
And she can't be seen in public with a $1000 purse? You can't see the hypocrisy? Seriously, her wealth is on a scale that none of us here will ever experience.

No it's a luxury item, a collectors item, a status item.
It's not for necessity, it's for luxury.
Stupidity is an opinion. You might do things that others think are stupid LOL Do we all NEED customized bikes that do more than just get us from point A to B? No, but we want to anyway. And if you can afford to, why not? Why don't we all sell our bikes and donate to charity!?
