Ontario Tag-o-rama

New:

Hints available if needed... ;)

Not too long of a ride for you, Amazon... and I would think you know exactly where this is!

Might be an interesting race... ready, set, go!

Ride safe!

Crap, I just got back form a 250km shortish ride! and no, i have no idea where that is.

OK then: the structure is a "lift lock" on the Trent-Severn waterway and is the second highest hydraulic lift lock in the world with a lift of 15 metres (49 ft). The highest one happens to be in Peterborough. :)

that's like 5 minutes from my house!!! I'll grab it in the morning and get a new one on my ride tomorrow. Hopefully I can find the same spot you did
Either you didn't read close enough or you don't live in Peterborough... Check the name on the lock:

Peterborough is the highest, you need to find the second highest.
If you hover your mouse pointer over the image you will find out why I edit so many posts... I can't spell to save my life (or can't type - or a combination of the two)

Dope! my bad. well I'll grab it tomorrow anyways. I was trying to make out what it said but failed, I blame being super tired

ok, now that I have the time I would like to get this one. I realize that it is in Haliburton but it is a very large area and I cannot zoom in on the background. I hint would be nice.

Hmmm... you don't need to zoom in to see the Shell gas station framed by the signposts. Go for it, JZ67, I'll bet there is only one shell station in a town that small.

Sorry JZ67 but I just made the trip and grabbed it earlier today. Hope it's ok for me to join in.

Of course it is OK! Welcome to the game. I love that post: the aviation theme is popular for more than just me. Sadly, I won't be making the trip up for that tag any time soon. With a vacation coming up soon, work has me completely swamped. Gotta pay for gas somehow. Then again those distance tags can sit for weeks... you never know it might still be there whn I'm back from vacation. :D That Canuck is an nice static display, but persoanlly I prefer the Voodoo they have out by the airport. Well done Yves.

I had plenty of time for a Haliburton run, not so much for a North Bay run.
