Men are more concerned with their partner's body type than women but they also seem to value family more highly, according to a new survey released on Tuesday. Nearly half of men questioned in the poll of 70,000 people said they would ditch a partner who gained weight, compared to only 20 percent of women.

Two-third of men also said they had fantasized about their partner's friends, while only one-third of women had done so.

Does this study account for the number of men who would start acting like d-bags on purpose so that the women would dump them? That's probably where the skew is ;)
 
Interesting to see that women think men get a fair shake in divorce court.

From my own personal experience, a lot (but certainly not all) of women fail to take any responsibility for the breakdown of a marriage and thus feel the man leaving has ruined their life. And they're willing to make them pay for it.

Men get screwed in courts, but only because they'd rather put their heads in the sand than fight tooth and nail for it (big $$$).
 
I read an article the other day that as long as the woman in the relationship is smaller in relative body size to the man.. men are happy. So, really, women can gain weight but if the man is still bigger whether muscular or size.. it's ok in a guys eyes.
 
Depends on the situation I'd say for me...

Wife gets hurt / accident and can't move until she recovers and even after recovering might not be the same, she'll gain weight but that's a totally reasonable explanation. Also, I guess pregnancy, but with a bit of exercise and time can make the effort and lose the extra bit of weight. Those are normal, life situations.

Wife sits on her *** all day doing nothing, different story.

Nearly 80 percent of men said they feel cheated by the divorce courts. But more women feel the sexes receive equal treatment than those who agree the men get a raw deal.

Equal treatment: The woman gets the house, the car, the kids and the dog while the man gets to pay child support and spousal support :cool:

That's the issue right there, men need to pay $$$$ and fight tooth and nail while the women just have to show up. Some even bring their boyfriends along cause hey they want you to see who you will be supporting.

courts need to apply equal rights here as well ie: Casey Anthony.

I know/seen too many dads get screwed over cause of this BS.

The most equitable divorce would be one where one spouse divides the assets, ongoing support and custody into two halves and the other spouse gets to choose which half they'd like to take.

This whole country's legal system is ******** when it comes to equality! There is no equality. Men get raped 'legally' when it comes to any topic involving a woman. Divorce, custody, sexual harassment and pretty much anything involving a woman. They give everything to the woman including the custody since the baby needs the 'mom' more. yet that same mom is out worrying about her "career" and dumping the kid in daycare everyday so the kid doesnt even see the mom! or like someone mentioned up there, shes out there whoring out and bringing home a different 'uncle' for the child every night! men have no rights in this country! and its our own fault. Femenists have been kicking us in the face for decades and we just sat their and paid them more money and rights to keep them happy but that just made them more greedy.
