oh how the dread of that day may come for some...

+1

I told the GF, if we need to get a family car, I'm getting the C63 AMG Wagon. She said fine, but then she has to get the CLS AMG. Then I was like, WTH, why do I get the crappier car? She just laughed. :-(

I don't think you have anything to complain about if you can actually afford both of those cars...

Y'all crazy. I love my bike but when I do have a kid all my attention will be focused on him/her. Unless I financially can afford keeping a bike that is barely ridden.

I would like to think I will never buy a van. I enjoy driving my rear wheel drive manual too much to settle on a van.

My wife will even say that I love my bike more than I love her.

Guess you get off on the bike more than your wife...that's just weird dude.
The mini van I bought was a Chev astro...truck frame. Twins ya you need it cuz we had lots of stuff and the dog too. I didn't have unload no toy for the sake of the van...it had it use at the time.

It's not true, but I let her keep believing it.

Hey, she has a bike too.

I always give mini-van drivers a wide berth because they are always driven by men who are trying to make up for having their balls removed. It's either because their wives made them sell the car to get the van, they drive it as part of a job they hate, or they think because they drive it all day that they have some special sense of the road.

Mini van drivers second only to cabbies as far as hazards on the road. 95lb blonde chicks in Range Rovers come a close third. As far as stereotypes go, I'd rather ride my bike in Agincourt than Yorkville.

screw minivans!

Wagon > minivan.

You've been talking to Gilligan haven't ya.
My dream care is a hearse (I'm a tad on the strange side) Since hes heard that hes been trying to show me how simple mods can make a wagon look like a hearse. Hes that obsessed with wagons.

I hear that constantly from others (usually married guys)... telling me the bike is on the way out... my wife and I have never even spoken about selling the bike (unless its to buy another bike), It must be stifling in that kind of relationship.

I get stopped a lot by women who used to ride but stopped when they had kids. My mom was like that. Hasn't touched a bike since my dad sold hers.
I fully intend to stop only while pregnant and pick right back up afterwards.

Married for 8 years been together for 13. I know my wife is not too find of my bike but she would never ask me to sell it. If there was a need to sell it I would make that decision not her and she has said that is the way it should be.

I'm kinda on the fence about these. Love the sedan version, but not so much the coupe or the wagon on these.

This is more my cup of tea:

There's something about that car, but it makes the Matte Black look like a spray job.

When I have a kid I will have another bike to buy. Nothing will leave my garadge just because I now have a kid, it doesn't work like that round here.

Thats exactly how I feel. I have cousins who have been riding since they were 5 and 6.

I fully intend to pick up my dirtbiking when I have kids and look forward to riding with them.

I want to get a 50cc for a pit bike but secretly it's for my 4yr old nephew. I'm taking him to supercross this year too, his dad's a NASCAR fan so I need to expose him to cool sports before he thinks that crap is cool.
