NooB Rides 1.0

I'm down to help out!
Just got a beast n will probably be taking it rather easy. Lemme know what I can do =D

Any idea the times? Meet up & Return?

I logged close to 2k last season - picked up first bike end of August - wknd end trips up north to cottage country. Never any group rides.

always wanted to get out, meet new people, and group ride. i'll keep my eye out on this thread...definitely something i am up for this year.

beware of the scarbro crew at kc they draw a lot of heat, if you like tickets? go for it. does motolimo follow behind to pick up the crashed bikes?

Nice to see a lot of ppl helping out/interested in this ride :)

So what's gonna happen when James whipes out again and nobody is paying attention to "the sweeper" lol

Always another back up sweeper :p
Plus this ride's gonna be snail speed for you :eek:

and I wasn't the only one that wiped out btw ;)

I'd definitely be in once I've taken the course (RTI, April 7th/8th) and put 1k on my bike.

I might meet up for one or 2, whats your routs looking like?
guessing your gonna be m1 friendly for the fresh skin?

What's this "M1 friendly"?

New motorcycle riders with an M1 licence learn to ride under these four conditions:

  • your blood alcohol level must be zero;
  • you must ride only during daylight hours (1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset);
  • you must not ride on highways with speed limits of more than 80 km/h except highways 11, 17, 61, 69, 71, 101, 102, 144, 655;
  • you cannot carry passengers.

Do you think riders with their M1 is exerienced enough to ride in a group? I think M2 should be the minimum which by time they'll have put in a decent amount of riding and want to improve their skills and confidence riding in a group. Or else we'll just be posing throughout TO =) Although, Bayview Extension would be a nice stepping stone

+1 Although I know a ton of really good M1 riders who renew every year for ***** and giggles, they wouldn't be interested in a noob ride anyway. So if someone really is new... I doubt they will get the required experience in less than 90 days.

a bit of advice.....whom ever is leading....you've got about a month to get some route's planned out...try for about 6.....or you could just stand around asking...."where you wanta go?"......"dun know"......."how bout TIMS"
