You're the expert.
I've never slid anything so I don't have any experience to weigh in here.

Under what circumstances are you "disengaged" in 6th? Why would you ever be coasting in 6th?
That's like saying. I don't try to pull a power wheelie on my Ninja 250. I wheelie responsively, all on straight ups.Good luck trying to sell either of those arguements in court. That is just your opinion dude. I don't try to pull a power slide on my Ninja 250. I skid responsively, all on straight ups.
I thought you were saying you frequently locked the rear wheel in 6th. With more experience, you will be able to tell by the relationship between RPM & speed that you are already in top gear, this will avoid those times when you are searching for 7th.For the sake of the experiment. But sometimes I can't figure if I'm on fifth or sixth and I try to upshift, then turns out I'm already on sixth. That's a "circumstance" ?

About the relationship between RPM and speed..... that is like a 10 variable equation I think.
Never said that. I said "maybe temp will go enough and I will be able to do it even on 6th"
About the relationship between RPM and speed..... that is like a 10 variable equation I think. One day I ride 60km/hr at 4,200ish, the other 6,000. I think the temperature/density of the air in the combustion makes the biggest difference ? But again as you said, with more experience, one day I will figure the other 9 variables.
You seem to be sarcastic, I was not being sarcastic. There are only 2 variables to become familiar with to avoid your miss-shifting problem you described "trying to shift to 7th"Speed & RPM are the only 2 variables you need to familiarize yourself with while in 6th gear. Once you know the few common speeds you typically travel at, a quick glance at the guages will tell you if you are already in 6th or not. And soon after that, you will just hear it and know. All in due time.Never said that. plus 1this will end you up on your head very soon.

You mean to say that in the same gear, on day 60 kph is 4200rpm and another day, same speed/gear is 6000rpm?If so, I'd say you have either the worlds most non repeatable speedo, or most non repeatable tach. You can confirm or eliminate the speedo by riding with a GPS and confirm that the speedo is consistently off by the same percentage. But I did give the example of >>>>>> "One day I ride 60km/hr at 4,200ish, the other 6,000."That is what confuses me, or makes me doubt altho I count the gears sometimes.
the day you're riding at 60km/h at 4200, you're in 6th gear, when you're at 6000rpm, you're in 5th.
This thread is a perfect 10!
