...there are a bunch of "newbies" in here that aren't newbies...
Really now?... If I meet up with someone and they're on an R1 or something similar. I'm rolling on back home.. just saying.

How does a size of a bike disqualifies you from being a newbie?
P.S. by the way, I don't have a R1, or not even a similar :angel5:

I'm up for a buddy ride! :)

I'm free pretty much next week and maybe Sunday afternoon. PM me if you're free.

Lol it doesn't :) it's just I would guess you have more experience if you're riding such a bike. That being said if you wanna go for a ride with me and my 250 that's fine so long as you promise not to leave me in your dust !

Jokes aside here is how these threads normally go:

1-New rider (female) writes a post asking for help and genuinely wanting either help or someone to ride with
2- Bunch of guys post joking around (mostly) leg humping, it is tradition and most of it is just a joke
3- Probably OP's inbox gets flooded with PM's from people that a) have experience helping noobs and won't mind taking her as part of their group or b) want to leg hump
4 - Bunch of other females post with sarcastic comments about the leg humping scaring the OP
5- Guys that could potentially help the rider, stay the hell away from posting or PM'ing due to previous bad experiences or the tone of the thread or not wanting to be included as part of the leg humpers
6- OP misses the opportunity to meet and ride with a bunch of good people and end up riding with a bunch of immature punks showing off and turning them off to riding all together

It's to bad, I know I have taken a lot of new girl riders out for rides either in groups or alone and I they have never been leg humped (unless they ask) and never had a bad time and they have learned a thing or two...

But I will never PM any girl ever again after some previous experience.

OP just becareful who you go out riding with, make sure you spend some time talking to the person over PM or text or whatever before you actually go out riding, you will probably get a sense pretty fast if they are show offs and talk a lot of **** or if they are normal good guys.

Good Luck :)

Most new riders assume that only people with experience buy big bikes which is not the case ...sometimes.

In my case I race a 600 and a 1000 and my street bike is a 750, I have also gone out riding on my ex gf's 250 while she rode my 750, if it has 2 wheels is all good

... unless it's an electric bike, hate those ****ers

Im a newbie and ride a Rukus. Where does that put me ?

Anyone want to take me for a ride? Im blonde, blue eyes, and big cans.

So does the size of your bike determine if your a noob or a pro?

Yeesh I don't know anymore ! You guys fight it out. I thought since people discourage newbies from buying larger bikes, this might be the case but I don't know and to be honest don't care. You ride what you ride as long as you have fun on it.

Hmm thanks for the info and I'm not scared, I was being sarcastic as well. I have a pretty good idea of how most people are when I talk to them and I'll be dropping anyone who decides to ride like a moron. And I will never be riding above my skill level. I'm sorry to hear about people who are turned off to helping people cause of **********. Anyway, I don't care who it is.. if you're genuinely willing to have a good time and not fool around I'm up for a ride.

PS Lol at your first post :P

In my league. I'll take you for a ride ;)

My wife is also starting on a 250ninja and would love to have someone to ride with when I'm not around.

He doesn't lie. He's kinda noobish and his bike is a picky italian princess :lmao:

Hi and welcome to the forums :hello2:

Welcome!

Stay away from the larger group rides that occur on these forums.

Most of the time it involves a new rider crashing.

otherwise ride safe!

Technically sometimes it's both 3a AND 3b -- epsecially if they're cute. lol

I hope not because if so I'm still on the girls bike :(

I agree with everything said here, especially that last bit. :lmao: It's too bad because as said, new people could miss out on some good info or people to ride with.

Awesome, newb rider here at Kennedy and eglinton! Lemme know if you all are going out for a spin?

Any time inferno, just leave the matches at home ;)

And OP, welcome to the forums. Looks like you already know this, but whom you decide to ride with will most likely decide how long you'll make it in this sport/hobby whatever you wanna call it
