Hello! I just passed my M2 test and I'm pretty excited about joining the GTA motorcycle community, I don't have a motorcycle yet but I'm searching for the best option for me, I'm glad to be here!

welcome

There's a biker gathering at Woodbine Centre starting at 3pm. Maybe you might see a bike that catches your eye.

welcome!

Welcome new rider! I am fairly new to riding as well. Wish you all the best! A piece of advice for you is to have a close friend take you riding on all types of roads meaning city, highway and country roads before you start riding in big groups. This was so helpful to building confidence and defensive riding skills. I was lucky my friend is very experienced and now I am able to ride on all roads without any second guessing my decision making. The course helped alot but the one on one riding really made a difference! Safe riding and good luck with the search!

Welcome and congrats on your M2.

Good luck finding your first bike!

Nice! Honestly, I'd suggest the same bike I have. The '07 CBR 125R. While it does lack on power, it really is the perfect beginner bike. M licence schools use them, race schools use them, and overall it was built with that in mind. The farrings are relatively cheap, as well the bike itself can take some punishment. I'm actually going to keep mine, it will be a great commuter bike, or possibly a race bike at some point. The newer ones have ABS, which could potentially be disasterous for a new rider if they learn on that, then hop on a bike that does NOT have ABS, and the person locks up the wheel and does not know how to react. While you can get the new one without ABS, it's cheaper to get the older model.

Congrats as I just got my M2 today but have been riding my 2003 ninja 500, I dont suggest you go with the 125 as 1' you cant go on highway 2. you will get to bored to fast if anything go with the 250 but really I went with 500 so I don't get bored to fast.. Best of luck and Cheers to GIRL POWER :)

I'd say the same thing. 250 (Ninja 250R or Honda CBR 250), or 500 (Ninja 500R or Suzuki GS500F) are great bikes to start on, and you won't be selling those bikes by the middle of your first season like most of the people who bought CBR 125 do.

hi welcome!,
where are your pics ? :p
