Need car now that it's cold. Any good audi dealer in west end??

3 years usually, and you can write-off your lease as a business expense. If you have a stable revenue stream, you're driving a new car every 2-3 years. Nothing wrong with that at all.

You Sir know what it's all about!!

Check out Lecos Auto, they have all sorts of Audi's there.

i laugh every time someone brings in the "write off" argument. that just means you pay a bit less tax because you spent the money on a car yet people somehow think its free money lol

I didn't say it was free money, and 'a bit less tax' is a larger number to some than others. Tax avoidance is illegal, tax deference is not, so why not use the system to your advantage? You'll be paying for it in one form or another.

Maybe you should consider doing the math of it being considered an expense vs being amortized...

I certainly wouldn't want to get one of those used

sorry just saw this thread today.. Mississauga Audi look for Alex Fretes, he's active in all the forums and very helpful. Known him in our local Audi group for a while.

+1 Alex is the only person you need to speak to.

Why are they any worse than other used cars?

The stigma that all used German vehicles get driven balls out all the time, with minimal attention to maintenance because it's pricey. People spend all their money on the car and forget that it needs oil.

From what I hear, they're like a model. Fun to F around with, but it's not what you want to get married to

The same could be said for pretty much any used luxury car (including japanese). None of them are inexpensive to service or repair.
Sometimes when I go to the dealer for parts (air filters and the like) I cringe when I see some of the other customers bills. The amount that people spend repairing their cars is pretty much unpalateable for me.

I guess for some ppl that might be pocket change. The last time I was at the dealer, I saw a few ppl just relaxing enjoying their free coffee & service.

For me, with the wait time plus the price, I could've done it myself.

Believe it or not, I even had a lady bring in her car because the tire was losing air. Maybe warranty????

WTFFF I don't believe!!!

Leasing is a lifestyle, I don't think there is any financial sense to it as it also limits your mileage, pretty much buys a car throughout the lease without the buy-out option, and i'm not entirely sure but I'd say any scratch/damage MUST be repaired. Also no modifications at all. If you like driving a new car all the time though, sure. For me, buying it right out or financing at 0% makes sense to me, $25k for a brand-new Impreza with warranty will last me hopefully 10+ years (minimum 5 before I'd consider selling/trading). Next car I get will most likely be used though. Warranty did save my @$$ a few times though.

The bike gives me the fun riding experience, my car is good for winter, transporting stuff and grocery shopping.

*boner*

So for the OP i say he should look at the Fiat Abarth :p
ITS A EURO CAR OKAY?

EDIT) and after having played with the 'model builder' over 4 years, put almost all the options in and you get a 600 monthly payment to finance it! :p

Smart is also a euro car no?

check JD powers, consumer reports or the Toronto Star auto section.

Thanks, but that doesn't answer my question. Researching reliability ratings has nothing to do with making a statement that someone wouldn't want to own one out of warranty which is why I asked.

I own an Audi, which is out of warranty, and I wanted t know if there was substance behind the statement made for my own reference.

I'm of the same opinion as Freestyle72. It's going to be more expensive to maintain an Audi, BMW, etc than a Neon, Corolla, etc. That's a given.
