My new Baby Came home Today ! :)

thank you everyone for the generous comments ! i do like to green 636 as well but the white to me looks awesome

and yes the speedo looks great as well ! .. ill be replacing the exhaust after break in .. and as for break in i will do as the manual says ... ill take her in at 1000 km to get a tune up and inspection completed ... and after that take it easy on her until 600 kms after 1000. oh and before 1000 i will be riding it as the manul states as well . 0-400 max 4000rpm shift.... 401-1000 max 6000rpm shift. id like to complete the break in properly as id like to keep this bike for a very long time !

to be honest ... my insurance only jumped 5 dollars a month ... to me for a brand new bike is awesome !! ..i do have my full M as well too. and an extremely clean record

...at 1,000kms it shouldn't need anything. Don't waste your money. Dealerships love to rape the new and un-informed owners of New bikes.

Nice!....I was stuck between green/black or white/black for a while but ended up choosing green/black after seeing the white in person, its got a little bit of a bluish or grey tint to it in person. So its not my taste personally as its not a pure white and its flat and also flat black which personally I hate. If it was a pure white gloss with gloss black I would have been all over the white/black. My first choice would have been the all black but I didn't want to pay $700 for ABS when I don't want it. Almost drove to the the US to pick an all black non ABS model as they get them in the US but it just wasn't worth the hassle.....I actually already bought a TC eliminating device, because I don't like the fact that every time you turn the bike on TC is on by default and you have to press the button 3 times to turn it off...The device I got reverses that and makes it always off, and you have to turn it on..

Anyways I cant wait to try this new motor out, I have an 09 and my only compliant about that bike is the lack of the 636 engine. And this bike is basically the exact same chassis with new bodywork, TC, and 636 engine...So it should be a great bike....Ive already started the mods LOL

BTW did you decide on the exhaust yet?

wow...Definitely would need an oil change and I recommend cutting the filter to check for filings. Some may be normal lots would be abnormal.

The first service I always recommend as a just incase measure. If anythings going to go wrong it will likely happen during that period and a good dealer will find it and repair under warranty at no cost.

Very sharp looking bike! Congrats & ride safe!
First mod is to cleanup the tail!

Yeah thats what my intention is, i want to take it just to be sure, i understand someone wont take it in, but i don't care, its my bike and i'd want to at least take it in to have inspected. During the first 100Kms i won't be beating on it either, and to be honest, even after break in i won't beat on it still.

The dealer i got it from is about an hour away from my house, but i'll still take it there to get serviced, i can't stand dealing with kahuna.

purr, what are you doing with the 03 636?

hey man,

I actually have a 2006 636 :) . She's only got 8,040 km's, all original, orginal motor, chain, and tires. :). There's a story to this bike as to why she's so low on Km's, not a bad story though, before me, she wasn't ridden at all.

I will be selling my 2006 636 unfortunately, i'd love to keep it but can't see having two bikes. I'm hoping to get to ride it one more time before letting her go to see the comparison between comfort level, engine etc. But even during break in of my new bike i won't be testing the engine power.

I know you are itching to ride when it gets a little warmer but do you really want to take a brand new bike out on salted roads? Be patient until they clean the roads up lol! You will be riding soon with a clean bike rather than stuff getting rusted out from the salt!

Cheers!
