Glad you're okay. Happens everytime. I usually ride in the right tire track to let them see I'm coming down. And if they don't, I click the high beams.
It looks like your jacket protected you. Is your JR jacket a leather and textile combo, or all leather? I am wondering why your right elbow was not abraded on the elbow pad area? The left sleeve seems to have two cuts in the material. Did you wear through the toe of your left boot?
No doubt your jacket, helmet and boots need replacement.
We are all glad you are healing. I usually honk my horn a couple of times to get their attention, and prepare to totally stop. Even in a car this is a highly dangerous situation.

Watch flashing the beams, for a lot of drivers that indicates that you are allowing the right of way. (Especially with commercial trucks, they flash one another to communicate right of way and thank you's for giving room etc...)
