Mv Augusta GTA?

I know, it's the other great Italian brand!!

The thing is, I gotta find a way to get my deposit back, I got a purchase order already for the F3 but I don't wanna be held hostage and wait indefinitely for MV to resolve their sh*t.
If you truly want the MV... Have some patience

Good things come to those who wait

Your order is probably helping MV

Here's the thing:

- The F3 800 AMG hasn't even gone into production.

- MV's financial issues won't get resolved in the near future.

- I'm easily looking at a 7-10 month period for this particular bike to get here, if it materializes at all.

- Not to mention, maintenance, warranty, parts etc., from an ailing company that doesn't even have a balanced dealership in the market, to begin with. So much for exclusivity...

Season's over by then and I'm out of a big chunk of cash that I could be putting down towards another, readily available, Italian bike.

I may want the F3 badly but I want peace of mind even more.

Start by calling the dealer and seeing if they will clean this up easily. If that doesn't work, read your contract, look for conditions they may have violated that you can present to the dealer to get this done. Is there a guaranteed delivery date? is there a penalty clause if they don't meet that date?

If I'm the dealer I am going to try to keep the customers happy as this may turn into a nightmare as obviously the bikes aren't coming anytime soon. Hopefully the dealer didn't send the money to Italy already, that leaves them in a terrible spot.

I already called and I got "yes, you'll get that bike for sure, we've got a lot of money invested in their bikes and they can't let us hanging"

Of course they will say that. One thing is expecting MV to deliver and another thing is what's actually happening with the company, I'll find out what I can do because it's already been a month and all I see is MV taking a financial plunge into the abyss while they hold my deposit in one hand...

You will definitely not be unhappy with a RSV4 RR.

Even though still a masterpiece from the Varese house, I want the 800cc engine.

This is the one I'm supposed to get:

I appreciate the info, though.

Not to put you off, but a co-worker in Toronto had a 2013 F3.

It stripped the alternator connection to the shaft and he waited 6 months trying to get a new alternator but had no success. Seems like parts are very hard to get.

Anyway he eventually took it to Vance at Oshawa Precision who custom made a bunch of pieces to basically replace the alternator interface to the motor. He did get it running but he put it on Kijiji the day he got it home.

But they're sooooo pretty!!!

But they're sooooo pretty!!!

Yes. He's Dutch guy married to a Italian woman.

He said he's relationship with the Italian bike was exactly the same as with his wife. They were both beautiful to look at but very hard to live with :)

He said it, not me!!!

Found this post on mvagusta.net

Owning an MV is like any other small production motorcycle company, it's almost like a traditional marriage where you stick together through the good times and the bad but maybe some think it more like a modern marriage, done on a whim and at the first sign of trouble they jump ship claiming unreasonable behaviour :D

Like traditional marriage because money only flows one way. Be happy for the rest of your life make an ugly woman your wife or buy a new Buell.
