Hey Ric, I'm pretty sure the guy that rides the electric bike with us at the SWOVTG runs the whole day without a charge. The only thing I find is that the electric trials bikes are loader than the new gas ones.

and you would be correct! 3 of those other guys are #1 national plate holders in various motorcycle racing disciplines; from right to left is Jonathan English, Brian "Wojo" Wojnarowski, Jordan Szoke is on the cell phone, his friend & team mechanic is on the left (sorry name escapes me at the moment as we only met that once) and Jordan's dad is taking the photo. Photo was taken on Lookout hill several miles north of Ompah, pretty sure you can only get there on foot, serious dirt bike riding or possibly by helicopter.

I grew up following Clint McBride and Jamie MacGregor around Brant county in the woods. They are both a bit older but were always willing to take me riding. Excellent teachers.
Grew up with Jordan, hung out at school etc, none of his riding skill rubbed off on me unfortunately.
I've always wanted a trials bike but have hesitated because of the specialty use. Last year I attended a couple sovt events to spectate. (Thanks @Wingboy) Only served to pique my interest lol. Fully intend to make a couple ata events this season. Might even move the drz to a new home in favour of a trials bike.

Awesome, Thank-you! I thought it was Matt or M something but I didn't want to guess and get it wrong.
I am hoping that I will get chance to throw a leg over a real trial bike in 2018. I can see that it could easily grow on me ....
Just last night I got my hands on this TV series about Ross Noble (motorcycle/comedian enthusiast) riding the Scottish SSDT ... http://www.ssdt.org/ ... it was entertaining I must say and wanted me to definitely try it. But I'd prefer the free riding kind, not so much the the technical/super tight sections, counting foot touches ...
Having said that, is there a trial school somewhere nearby ... like Trail Tours or Yami school in Horsehoe?

It seems that the three providers offer trials ... anywhere from 170$-230$ + tax for 2-3hrs, bike (supposed to be decent modern machine) and gear included.
It might come down to availability or location .... anyone can chime in as far as what sort of trial park they have? Horseshoe place looks like (from photos only) a gravely parking lot with bunch of logs and tires? Pretty basic ... or am I wrong. Which facility is best for trials, in your opinion?

Cllinton Smout is the instructor at Horseshoe.(just a bunch of logs and tires,easy....hehehe). Bob Billyard runs Trail N Trial in Cambridge.I have to give the edge to Bob,he does training from raw beginner (don't know what a clutch is for) to advanced "hopping" techniques on sections made with his bobcat.My daughter and Jordan Szoke have found challenges there.

The Cambridge place definitely looks nicer than the somewhat temporary look of the Horseshoe facility. Don't get me wrong, I don't obviously needs huge rocks (logs and tires of certain size will be challenge for me), but it's nice to have some trail elevation etc. The place looks real, that's what I mean.

Looks a little better than Horseshoe, but still looks like lot of hopping on a flat surface ... Anyway, to my inexperience eye, Cambridge is the most desirable, and comes apparently with Rick-knows-me discount too.
