Motorcycle Camping Tents

A picnic table, a rock and a log all share the same problem. No back support. After a long day (or even a short one) being able to relax and lean back with a pint and a smoke is key. At least for me.

Fair enough.

I do have one of these fold up chairs somewhere but aside from the fact that they only seat you about 10" off the ground (ergonomically useless to me anymore), I always felt that I was one failed piece of plastic away from ending up in the local ER - "Honestly, I didn't put it there on purpose, this chair just fell apart and next thing you know...."

Just ordered this.

I got our family in the USA to order the one I was looking for and ship it up here to us. I'll be sure to post a review once it arrives.

Just ordered this.
The tent looks pretty nice. Being able to stand up in it will be very nice. The poles might be a little long for carrying on the bike as it seems they are over 2ft long, unless you have a solution for that.

You'd have to be under 5'4" to stand in it.

Thanks for that weblink, never heard of that site! I was in search for a tent aswell. I was looking at the Midori series aswell (Midori2) for the last few months, and saw one at the outdoor show a while back, light and great company, though wasn't a fan of all the mesh, on a hot day not much privacy, also didn't like the colors (just personal).

Got the Elixir 2 on sale, great price on that website

I like that the outer shell can be setup before the inner, helps on rainy days a lot and hard to find in a tent, so the inner tent doesn't get wet and you can stay dry setting it up. Also comes with a footprint at that price, never seen it that low. Got good privacy, and the white makes the inside feel bigger/brighter/cooler. Setting up the exterior separate also makes for a nice shade on the beach for day trips with a partner. Details like glow in the dark zippers are nice too

I got the Nemo sleeping pad with the order, another great deal on that website, matches the tent aswell lol. If you get a tent, some kind of pad will greatly help, if not from the hard ground, at least the cold being sucked outta you.

No need to use an external pump or mouth, and lifetime no hassle warranty from nemo.
How long did the shipping take?

i ordered from these guy the same time, says my order is still processing. it's been about a wk

Still processing, haven't heard back from them. All I know is the tent and pad are no longer on sale. I have a feeling some items sale price was a glitch, cause the sale price on the home page vs in-cart was different, then 1-2 days later they all got reversed back to full price. No one has sold that tent or pad close to 50% off, most retailers don't even have it in stock at regular price online

so whats that mean, you won't get that tent at the sale price?

I’ve made three orders at La Cordee in the past few days, and several orders in the past months. I got an email shipping notice yesterday for one of the orders. They are a good company although I’m not sure if this current sale is the start of them winding down operations. Another decent company is LaTulippe based out of Quebec. They often have good prices on camping stuff too.

check to see if your cc has been charged...I’ve no reason to believe their inventory system is incorrect but we will see.

I'm not sure, my visa has already been charged and they sent a receipt. However I won't be surprised if they sent an email a few days later saying it's either not in stock or there was an error. Though maybe it is just slow processing and will ship, no idea and I'm in no rush to get the stuff anyway. I just hope they weren't used/returned items because the sale said no returns or refunds, would suck to get a returned tent or pad that leaks and deal with warranty at this time

yeah i seen that return policy and got a little nervous, i just checked and the tent i bought is still showing on sale

it didn't say anything about returns or warranty items

I ordered two things on the eighteenth, one arrived, and the other is "label created, waiting for carrier pickup". so hasn't been shipped yet.

i ordered on the 17 and is saying still processing, they took the money out of my card

just cancelled my order today as they could not and would not confirm as to rather this is a new tent or a damaged return or a badly worn demo.
