MotoGP 2017

Going to be a wet race, this will definitely mix things up. Those yamahas are going to struggle, as is Pedrosa if he can't keep the heat in the tires; I think it will be Zarco, Dovi, Marc.

interesting choices for a triactor bet. but what about vinales? he has looked good in the rain previously.....he has nothing to lose.
so many good riders capable of winning in the rain I don't know who will be there at the end. I hope MM doesn't toss it away.

Dovi, Vinales, MM,

Hi JC

I am just waiting for a copy of Post.Race.Press.Conference. Thank you very much :D!.

Greetz,
M
It is up, sorry for the delay. Fell asleep on my keyboard and drooled in it, so had to use the windows on-screen keyboard to download and edit it. Not recommended.

I'm on a shared connection, I limit my download speed so streaming isn't something I can do. But eagerly awaiting downloads... :D
The live stream is only 2.5mbps! If I didn't have access to that kind of bandwidth I'd move :) Anyway, links are up, sorry for the delay (see previous comment).

Enjoy.

:lmao:Been there done that! Ruined a perfectly good Logitech wireless keyboard.

When I bought here, it wasn't an issue. Everyone was on dial up. :evil3:

"Suggested Mapping 8"

Team orders, yes. But Lorenzo says he didn't see the dashboard message. He said he would have moved over anyway, but Dovi's win was 100% deserved. Great performance by him:

Still, Valencia is going to be a longshot. But stranger things have happened (like Hayden's championship decided in Valencia 2006).

JL has been saying for weeks or even months that if he's in a position to help AD he will. His pit board would tell him that Dovi was behind him and he knows what's at stake. If not for him almost crashing in T15 I imagine he would have held the lead until maybe the 2nd last lap then backed out of it a bit to let Dovi by.

I don't like JL but he rode well and had the pace to win today.

Sorry to hear about the keyboard, JC; I'd hit it with compressed air and isopropyl and see if its still functional. I passed about after checkered flag, I could still hear that MotoGP theme song in my sleep.

Thanks, JC!

Dovi, Vinales, MM,

The '17 M1 has had massive traction issues since mid-season, so its not going to perform well in the wet, I still think it can do well in Valencia if its dry, though. Just as it did in qualy this weekend, its not exactly a bad bike, but with tricky conditions its not going to perform above the '16 M1. I was wondering if Mav would just shift back to the '16 bike after he was out of the title contention just to see if what would happen, and if his competitiveness would come back and build off of that platform for '18 but it never happened.

Good to see JLO actually get a handle on that Ducati, especially in the wet after all these years; I think Marc had to play it safe, Honda is an another bad year in Motorsports outside of motorcycles and they need this title. Marc didn't look like himself after the start, at all, his riding style was awkward, he didn't look like he did at Motegi. Zarco was suffering so bad on those softs, I cannot imagine normal Marc wouldn't have had a go at him.

Admittedly, I did not concentrate completely on watching the races, but they were pretty boring.

Joan Mir is clearly the class of Moto3. Jorge Martin can't seem to get that win despite all the polls he's been getting. Glad to see Bastianini get a podium as well after a really dogshit season despite being on one of the better teams in Moto3. I was also waiting for that proverbial shot of watching Antonelli walking away from a crash...I was not disappointed.

Morbidelli is champion due to an injury. He deserved the championship but would have liked to have seen him win in on the track. Luthi's off was pretty violent though. KTM has found something. That's two straight 1-2s with Oliveira winning. Dude is quick. I'll put $5 on him being on the big bike in 2019. I have to confess I sort of laughed sympathetically when AMarquez crashed the 2nd time.

Lorenzo had the pace, but either intentionally or not, got passed by Dovi, and that will score him a lot of love from Ducati. Might be too little too late, but at least the championship goes down to the last race. The pace that Zarco has shown from time to time really shows how good that 16 Yamaha is. Sadly, with the problems the factory guys are having with the 17, you won't see Zarco nearly as much in the front of the grid. I hope I am wrong though. I want to see the sat teams fight for wins more.

Dude almost crashed. You cannot fake that. It was unintentional.

He said he was going to give up P1, but you know that it would have been a last lap, sit up, long look over the shoulder, roll off the throttle with his left hand on the hip kind of thing.

Dovi won that race fair and square. Even in Parc fermé, Dovi showed no signs of profuse gratitude when JLo came over to congratulate him.

Fair enough. Like I said, I wasn't paying too much attention.

I think I better stay away from the bookies lol. I believe MM was also running on a soft front. but a medium rear. I don't think MM had the front tire left to challenge zarco. MM did the intelligent thing and collected his fourth place points.

Zarco and his team are rockin and making the factory team of rossi/vinales look bad...incredible performances and looking forward to seeing more of zarco.

Incorrect. Med/Med

Dovi won it on his own.

Even if he hadn't, JL would have done the right thing to help the factory he's employed by. He also said he didn't push as hard as he could have since it was Dovi that passed him....

Didn't watch the post-race stuff... why did Marquez fade so badly at the end? Did he ease off intentionally or not?

Good suspenseful race, nowhere near as action-packed as Phillip Island but still riveting stuff. I'm still amazed at the spectacle MotoGP offers week after week. I grew up watching F1 during the Prost/Senna years and the last 2-3 MotoGP seasons have been just as epic IMO.

Couldn't keep up. Too slippery and too much at stake is what he said. Ducatis were uncatchable and 3rd place wasn't worth the risk.

So is MM going to look for a top 5/10 finish at valencia, or is he going to go for the win?

Possible scenario: MM goes for it, crashes out, and dovi goes on to win the race....ducati fans go crazy.

MM will always go for the win. Though when it comes to the closing laps, he'll play it smart if he's in a good position.

Only way I can see Dovi winning the championship is if MM DNFs....or close to it.

Dovi won it on his own.

Is it really the right thing to gift someone a position they didn't earn? Does it make a difference if you like the rider or not? Not what happened in this race of course but hypothetically.

A scenario I'd like to see is VR **cking with MM, slowing him down just like MM did to him in Sepang in 2015.

Payback would be such a *****.

Except that's not at all what happened. Rossi's lap times did not improve after he helped Marquez off the track. Therefore he was not slowing him down.

Wild man Iannone goes full torpedo, whispering "Valentino sends his regards" or "wlf never forgets" as he makes contact.
