MotoGP 2015

Does anyone here think that Lorenzo is not going to win the championship this season? I know he's still behind Rossi, but he is clearly the best rider this season. This race is what I more or less expect to happen the rest of the season.
I have to agree. Lorenzo wasn't even pushing it yesterday. After lap 3 he simply maintained gap. I'm sure he had some in reserve if need be. And he rarely seems to get out of shape (last race aside). I'm cheering for Rossi, but I don't think he'll do it without some help.

If I was Lorenzo I would be ramping up my security detail to US Presedential-style limosines at this point.... Lots of crazy Rossi fans out there.

At some tracks and in good conditions Lorenzo often looks invincible. At other tracks or in less than ideal conditions there are visible chinks in the armour.

Lorenzo does well at Motegi

Rossi rides very well at Philip Island.

Valencia I would probably bet on Lorenzo.

I still don't think the championship is Lorenzo's. Too close to call at this point. If Marquez could stay on his bike for a whole race he could definitely influence the outcome.

You'll get all kinds of visible minorities in top level motor sports these days but those guys look Japanese.

I'm always blown away at how effortless 99 makes it look. He's like a robot out there.

I still think Rossi will win it this year. I think Lorenzo will be faster in Motegi and Valencia, and Rossi will be ahead in PI and Sepang which I think will be enough for him to win the title.

If rain so happens to arrive in any of the tracks, I think Lorenzo's chances are done. He's been quoted that he's fully aware of his weakness in the rain and this is something he'll be trying to work on.

Lorenzo looks unbeatable when he either gets pole position or takes the lead right away. But to me it seems once he has to fight or battle it out for position and work his way up he's no where near as good as Rossi is in slowly picking guys off one at a time. It reminds me of F1 races. Whenever Vettel was getting those pole positions he would just take off from everyone. But he wasn't anywhere near as good when he had to work his way up and fight for position.

I have tons of respect for Lorenzo's razor sharp riding style. But Rossi and Marc are more exciting to watch when they are battling for position.

Lorenzo has the potential to win every one of the coming races, and for Rossi finishing 2nd won't be enough. So either Lorenzo loses out somehow (not too difficult to imagine) or Rossi takes at least one win away from him (less likely, but possible). So no, it's not Lorenzo's to lose.

I'd like Lorenzo to take it, but I'd also like Rossi to win and then retire on top. So I'm torn but this race was a fantastic result for me because it takes it in the direction of a very, very, very tight championship finish.

As for this race, fantastic to see what Pedrosa can do, finally. I've only been following MotoGP for a few years and I never understood why people would talk about how great he could be, but now I see.

Pedrosa is finally healthy enough to show the Honda camp that Marquez has lots to learn about being the man. I was never a fan of the angry dwarf, but his battle with 6? passes in 3 laps with Rossi is the stuff of legend.

As much as I am a Rossi fan. Its amazing to see 4 top level riders at their peak in their riding carreers and being able to compete for a win at any time. Even with Rossi on the verge of retirement, he still is able to fight for top spot. Throw in a few surprises like the Ducatis and the odd satelite team podium finishes, makes watching MotoGP the most exciting motor sport I have ever watched. I've only been following MotoGP for the last 6 years. Has it always been this competative? Or are we fortunate to be able to see so many top level riders in the same era......

I wish F1 was only half as interesting to watch as MotoGP.

Four riders yes, but it's still a Honda/Yamaha championship race. It would be nice to see other manufacturers sharing the top podium spot instead of inheriting a 2nd or 3rd place finish when a factory Honda or Yamaha rider falls off their bike.

Left hand. I'm guessing it won't be a factor.

not for these guys, they are on another level!

He also has a little bit of time before the next race.

As for the championship I really would like Rossi to take it this year. I'm very excited for the next few races to see how it all plays out.

Lowes and Guintoli signed with Yamaha for their first season back in wsbk should make things very interesting.

I keep thinking that but yet Rossi has been leading the championship since race one (except for one round when they tied). Also next races are tracks where Rossi has done well.

JL is the fastest consistent rider right now but he has to have everything perfect, that to me is his down fault, Rossi and MM can ride around imperfections, he kind of falls apart
