They hire a real rider (Nicolo Canepa) and go from being a consistent 2nd last to 10th place in the same size field...
Sure, it's only testing, but it shows how much of a difference a rider can make.

New public web server has been secured (to host the race files without having to use torrents). Performance testing looks very promising so far and hopefully you'll be able to stream the races right from the server. During this weekends WSBK race I'll get the first post updated with the new information.

Well that's super disappointing. As you can see from the schedule above, as well as directly from worldsbk.com, free practice was supposed to start at 6pm EST tonight, which I was going to capture/record (because WorldSBK doesn't). But, I just logged in and ALL of the free practice for friday is complete, wtf?!? Are they a day behind us, so when it says Friday it meant our Thursday?! I better figure it out before superpole

For sure. Any links that stream, just right click them and go "save target as" and voila, they'll download right to your computer/device.

hehe, you might like this video!!! It's the first one hosted on my "new" webserver. I've confirmed it can be streamed (in VLC player, Chrome browser, etc.) as well as downloaded to your computer (right click on the link, save target as, etc.). If everyone could please try downloading it or streaming it and let me know how the performance is compared to your internet speed, thanks!

On motogp.com when you click "my time" it will change from friday to thursday if the day is different in your timezone. I figured wouldsbk.com would be the same

I was able to download the file in 4-5 mins. Played perfectly, good quality. Looked like a cable program in HD.
I was also able to stream it in my Android box. Played perfectly , no drops, sound and video sync was spot on. Picture quality looked great (HD).

Due to technical changes at worldsbk.com I'm not able to live capture the superpole. Once they get the recordings posted I'll get them up here. Hopefully I get a solution for the races, I hate waiting

**WARNING: To avoid spoilers I've removed the riders names from the post qualifying interview filenames. I also recommend not using the tile or icon view in your download folder, because you may recognize the thumbnail of the rider in the interview spoiling the quali before you get to watch it (use list or detail view to avoid thumbnails). The files are numbered in chronological order with the lower number being the oldest, so if you watch the videos from 01 to xx then they'll all be in the right order, no spoilers.

One disadvantage of the new server is that content doesn't show up until it's 100% complete. If you want the file faster then use the .torrent file, that way you can be downloading it as I'm still uploading it, so you'll end up with the complete file much faster than waiting for it to show up on the webserver.
If you need any help just ask.
