What equipment are you using for the MotoGP Video pass? I'm thinking of signing up this year. Will the latest generation of Home Theater Tv PC work? e.g The Intel Connect Stick ,HP Strem Mini etc. They generally use Intel Celeron or Atom chips. Connected to your TV. Or should you just get a entry level PC with an I3 chip and Integrated graphics as a minimum.

thanks

iPad AirPlay to Apple TV - Apple TV to TV .. Works well if you don't want to get off the couch. I also use my laptop if I'm watching a previous race
The upside to using a laptop connected to TV (HDMI) is the the feed from the browser has markers in the timeline. So you can skip ahead and view highlights of the race.

Are you streaming the signal from your router to your laptop and then HDMI from laptop to tv? If so what is the min. connection speed required for the 720 p stream? I'm able to get around 15 mbs of signal download speed where my TV is. Is this good enough for the hidef feed?

thanks

The 720p stream from motogp.com is a maximum of 2500kbps so anything over 2.5mbps of wireless real world throughput should be sufficient. If your laptop keeps dropping the stream (because your router is switching wireless speeds) lock it to Wireless G mode (not N) and 12mbps maximum speed and your connection will be rock solid.

Where is everyone catching the wsbk races? I have the motogp pass but debating whether I should purchase the wsbk pass. You would think dorna would offer a discounted rate to those who already have a motogp bass, I guess not lol.

I also find it ironic that the Cdn pension plan board owns a 40% stake in dorna, yet no agreement was made to broadcast the sport in Canada. Yes I understand its much deeper than this and more complicated. However, if you think about it, the Canadian government owns 40% of dorna, the cpp investment board is part of the government, and I believe the crtc is government as well no?
You would think they would want to broadcast a sport they are highly invested in their own country. An agreement with the crtc and the two main cable providers would have been beneficial to us. Oh well maybe I'm over thinking this.
Please chime in guys/gals with any good info.

To watch it live anywhere other than on worldsbk.com would be extremely poor quality. If quality isn't important to you then "cric free TV" might be an option. Install "adblock plus" then google it.

I tried to re-stream it (and MotoGP) live but I lack the knowledge to complete the project. It's broadcast in 25fps and if I re-stream it at 25fps eventually you'll run out of buffer and then the stream runs like garbage. If I stream it in 24fps the video works flawlessly but the audio gets out of sync. Wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

Thanks for the advice. It doesn't have to be live, as most of the races are really early in morning for us. I prefer recorded.

Ahhh, as you can see Post 2 now contains the WSBK schedule so just like MotoGP the races will be uploaded as soon as they are over. Right now there's only torrent links but I am working on a new server to host the files for direct download or instant play/streaming.

Awesome thanks. Didn't you have a server up last year? I think it was you. Anyway i would like to thank you for fixing my wsbk habit all of last season lol

Yep, had a server up, but Dorna sent a DMCA takedown request so my host deleted it and banned me. I have a new server up and working but none of my login credentials are working so I haven't been able to move the videos over to it so far. Should be up and working before the first WSBK race on Feb 22 :)
