MotoGP 2014

really people? really?

this issue comes up at the last race of the season? lol

I don't use the link here, but i check in every once in a while to view the comments etc.

If i haven't yet seen the race, I comb/scan through avoiding anything that has "name" spoilers.
so i don't think it's a big deal.

eg. right now. I have not yet seen the race, but i skimmed the last page and still have not had a spoiler.

i am now going to go to the spoiler free motogp area and watch the race. previous years i've used other methods.

just being aware of "reality" is enough. no need to make a case about this. just enjoy the race, the hobby etc any way you can.

a few times it's been spoiled, yes, but i've still watched the race still. because i like watching motogp.

chill. :)

cheers.

Can you just tell us who won what and save me the hassle of watching. At this price it just cheapens the experience anyway.

Moto3 was fantastic.

Was laughing pretty good at Miller complaining about being run wide. He runs into AM any chance he gets but is annoyed when others do it to him. Sounds like the new Casey Stoner is upon us.
I think by far and for obvious reasons that was the best race of the day. That one big mess in that corner could have turned ugly really quick. Props to them for getting out in one piece. Casey Miller was pretty ****** at the end :D

Don't listen to these guys, you are one of the best contributors in this thread.

People have been told not to come in here before they watch the race, they have been given a way to watch the race without having to come in here, if they still do then is not really anyone else fault.

If I log into Motogp.com and go to the main page, i can not be mad if they have the result posted.

Ok I screwed up.

I'm removing myself from the 2015 thread (I will not contribute incase I screw up again) so you all will have nothing to worry about for next season.

I'm only human and I was super excited.

Roomie you know I like you put this is not Jamie's 2014 motogp thread, it is nice he posted the links but I created this thread to discuss the results and any other topic related to motogp, not for people to come in here to watch the race and get ****** when others use the thread for what it was intended.

Sorry dude

I wasn't aware of the speed channel being dropped or I would have paid for it at the beginning of the season. Next year I will. The money is hardly a concern.

The point was someone posted the results before the link was even posted at the crack of dawn. Common sense would say posting that, you would know there's going to be at least one or likely more that had no idea yet. When someone is good enough to go through all the work of posting it for others, then perhaps common sense could kick in and know not everyone is up first thing in the morning on a Sunday to have seen it yet especially when the link wasn't even posted yet. Now excuse me while I go wax my fancier helmet

Dude your crap was funny for like a couple of months, now is just damn boring and ridiculous. Stop it, it got old!

I don't think so, using myself as barometer as harbinger to the future.

I wonder if I should edit in all the recent results, you know, to get a feel for the zeitgeist?

I know what the thread for and maybe I overreacted but really man the link hadn't even been posted and it was 9 am. I mean by noon or something I get it but 9 am...at least let people get a coffee in them before posting results. Next year I'll get the subscription and just not come on here on Sunday until I've seen the races.

I know what you are saying but out of everyone, chimera is the one person that always referred to the results as "the winner, or the guy that came in second" and never spoiled any of the races.

Same stuff happened to me during the world cup, it was impossible not to know the results, even if I stayed away from the internet, some ****** at the office or anywhere else will always feel like a hero by telling me the latest results lol. I just couldn't get mad at them.

You still make me laugh, fresh as a daisy.

:director: Ladies and gentleman, If I may have your attention please. Another fantastic season all wrapped up. On behalf of all Gtam motogp fans I would like to present JohnCruiser with the motogp thread contributors award/certificate :evil3: / :smilebox:

Thank you John for the time and effort you put into posting all the fantastic races, I think its fair to say A LOT of people owe you a beer or two...

Must be an Aussie thing. What a race though...after all the talk about team orders and so on it was good to see Rins choose to help his team mate out given himself and Miller are friends off the track. Good seeing riders ride as a team without having their teams put it up on the board.

I noticed this thread was at the top of the page since this morning so I decided to stay away until now figuring everyone had something to say about the races.

Nope.

I'd like to thank anyone who posted their thoughts on the matter of 'spoilers', also to those who added their kind words in support/encouragement to continue with the MotoGP discussions in future, thank-You.

I will not lie and say that the initial reactions from both who were upset I spoiled the race for them didn't sting.... Yes I am aware that this is the Internet and stuff like this happens. I guess because I have such a passion (as do many others here and on the forum) for motorcycles and in turn the top tier of the sport in racing, I cannot help but offer my thoughts and overjoyed excitement as well as feel the emotion that goes along.

I do try not to post exact results but sometimes this could and can happen.

My thoughts on this thread and others in previous years was that we discussed all aspects of this sport from teams, riders, equipment, tracks, testing, results leading up to race day and race day itself including our thoughts on the race and its winners.

Anyone who knows me (which accounts to no one who may of posted in 'my defence') knows how much passion I have for this sport (heck my bike's plate is rider related!) I've even gone to every Indy race since its inaugural one back in 2008 except for this year (which was tough lol)

Bottom line is I am so happy to have a place to share thoughts and I really do look forward to stopping in here. This is probably where I post most :)

Now off to enjoy the first official test of 2015 :D

Me too. I hope we can put this unfortunate egaff behind us and please reconsider your 2015 MotoGP involvement. I predict good things.

Chimura, I want to apologize (again) for the heavy handed tone I took but, as you say, it's the internet. It's not that big of a deal. I was not aware of how much of a regular poster you are on this thread or your passion for MotoGP. I took your spoiler post at face value without historical context.
This thread has re-ignited my interest in MotoGP and Moto3 due to the free downloads, not so much the *owner* of thread. Happy to see new management for 2015 MotoGP thread. If I'm not drummed out of here by then I'll see around there I'm sure. Enjoy.

lol -see, you do have some good posts when you speak like a normal person. Don't be so butt-hurt please ;)

I am glad Jamie started it, because for what I see his plan is to use the first post to update it with the latest race links so the rest of thread is left for what it is intended, discussing MotoGP related topics.

This discussion is ridiculous, way to end an excellent thread!

That's the plan, if you haven't watched the race you only need to look at the FIRST post to get the link, then we're free to discuss all we want without worry :)

I'll post up the testing videos from today/tomorrow in the 2015 thread when available ;)
