MotoGP 2014

I don't believe any of that for a second. Marquez has improved exponentially while Bradl is stagnating. Put Marquez on the LCR and he still wins.

Agreed. If Bradl on a factory-supported Honda is constantly battling Bautista on a non-Factory-supported ride, then it shows which class he really belongs in. Namely, non-alien. He's shown flashes of brilliance, but just isn't consistent enough.

Confidence gives you that .2 of a second that makes you go from 5th place to winning the race, ask JL if you don't believe me.

MM is full of confidence and has been since he started in Motogp on round 1 last year, his confidence comes from his talent and having the top bike on the grid. Bradl had the confidence and did well last year but did not have the top machine, add a few crashes, a few bad results and the tremendous stress from the expectation when you are not doing that well and you pretty quickly get shipped to NGM.

I believe that if Bradl had the same path as MM (starting on a factory ride) he would probably be fighting with MM on every round by now. Don't get me wrong, MM is my favorite rider and only a few have what it takes to beat him, Bradl did in a similar bike and no one else in Motogp right now can say that. Neither cruthlow or Dovi are better than Bradl.

However I thought the same about Spies and we know what happened.

In other news, just came across this:

Marca: Aprilia plan 2015 MotoGP™ comeback with Bautista

Monday, 21 July 2014

According to Spanish newspaper Marca Aprilia are planning to participate in MotoGP™ next year, as opposed to a previously proposed 2016 arrival date.
With significant technical changes in the premier class coming into effect as of 2016, Marca report that Aprilia want to accelerate their MotoGP project in an attempt to be competitive as soon as possible. The Italian manufacturer is reported to have a prototype machine with a seamless transmission and pneumatic valve engine being developed on the base of the ART machine ridden by Aleix Espargaro in 2013.
The publication also report that Aprilia want to line Alvaro Bautista up on the MotoGP grid next season, with the Spanish rider having delivered a 125 title for them in 2006 and having also ridden an Aprilia in the 250 class before he graduated to the premier class. Suzuki Superbike rider Eugene Laverty is apparently in the frame to ride alongside Bautista in the team.

I dont see Bradl battling with Marquez even if he was on a factory Honda.

Once Marquez got going in Moto2 Bradl had nothing for him.

[h=1]2011 Moto2 standings[/h]Listed below are the final championship standings for the 2011 Moto2 season. Stefan Bradl was crowned Champion for Viessmann with a total of 274 points and four race victories, with Marc Marquez claiming the runner-up spot as Andrea Iannone, Alex de Angelis and Thomas Luthi completed the top five.

Marquez was inconsistent before moving to GP. Once he got settled it was all over. He won in Moto 2 from the back of the grid. Bradl could never pull that off. Fast in the smaller classes does not necessarily mean fast in GP. Fast being a relative term of course. I'm not saying he isn't good but he isn't capable of consistently beating Marquez no matter what bike he's on. If he was close then you could blame the bike but he's not that close.

Irrelevant, the reason why MM didn't win was because he always rode on the edge, hence why he pulled crap like winning from the back of the grid and hence why he crashed ultimately costing him the championship. Winning a season does not mean being the fastest guy, means to complete the season and having the most points.

This is a dumb argument anyways

Boring 1st qualifier

Bradl fist on FP3

That young man can't be stopped! Even when standing the bike up in turn 1 in his first timed lap. Dovi got a nice spot it helped he was behind the right rider. Good that JL found something to get on that first row. Rossi can't qualify, I don't know what it is but I wish he'd get better QP spots. Dani who I thought would be in the front row surprised me by not being there....... Normally this track is good to him. I guess new surface and some layout changes made an impact.
MM will be a force tomorrow seeing as he's gotten the top spot and he won here last year. Although the weather may play a part tomorrow as there's a chance for rain.

I'm beginning to believe that Marc could possibly win every race! If not win, he will probably get Pole for every weekend!

FP3 and Quali are up on my server. Sorry for the weird video format, it's out of my control :(

Did you see Dovi almost crash going into turn 1 when following marquez? The interview afterwards was awesome "Trying to follow Marq's crazy lines!" lol. Shows if you're brave you can do a great lap time, probably thought he was going to crash going into every corner :)

Can't wait for the race tomorrow.

Yes, but watching him is still exciting. People are whining about the domination, but I'm sure the same people would have whined about watching Giacomo Agostini.

History is being made.

Guess I gotta find a new streaming site :(

The numbers are pretty low when compared to the European races, I think the last few years Indy was averaging around 60-65,000 people. In a stadium where the Indy 500 is expected to draw over 300,000 people, that makes all the empty seats in the stadium look even more desolate. More so for a Moto3 race, which isn't even the main event.

I was there the first two years, they had attendance in it's inaugural year of under 100,000 which is about the average for a MotoGP race throughout the season. We remarked even back then how empty the stadium looked. The city is well practiced and prepared for the extra traffic though. They made the main street one-way only, turned off all the cross-street traffic lights and we were out of the stadium and onto the open Interstate in under a half-hour! Right into a hurricane though...
