So the news, radio and T.V have been bleeding this mythological belief for awhile, and especially this month. The end as most people know is December 21st, and I was wondering what peoples takes were on this wild following.

Been reading up on it since about 5 years ago.
Tbh, I could see it going either way. Although if it does happen, it most likely won't be all at one time. Probably a sequence of ongoing events that just get worse. If only a fraction of the things that they predict will happen, actually happen, we're pretty screwed.
For a lot of the theories, there's a little too much coincidence for me to dismiss it as just bs. But you can look at it mystically, scientifically, astrologically, mythically, spiritually, religiously, etc. and you're pretty much covered from every single angle with predictions & theories.
The chance of every single human dying is pretty slim. If anything, there'll be enough to start over (maybe we're finally at the pinnacle of civilization & just due for a restart). For the earth as a whole, I think it'd probably be a good thing - as a species, we're not very good at co-existing both with each other and the rest of life on earth.
Personally, I made goals 5 years ago about things that I'd want to do if the world WERE to end (I figured it would be win-win). I'm just about to finish up my last couple of goals.

If anything does happen, it will be because people start to assume and panic and then it just snow balls... I doubt it will be anything to do with the astronomical coincidences or anything like that.
In any way, I'll be on the road that day headed home and my truck will be packed with my hunting and winter camping gear (plan on doing some on my time off)... So I'll be set anyways.
