Tmp may 31st.
I was curious as to who was going? Anyone from the hamilton area going? Wouldn't mind heading up with someone or pitting next to someone from here. I'll be running intermediate.
Nice to meet new people and take some notes from the more experienced.

I was on the blue zx10. What about the Gsxr isn't cutting it for you? What year is the bike?
I think the guy was ok, he was up and moving before the ambulance was out there.

Firstly it's a 2000 and carb. I got it for a steal. It's my street bike as well.
So given the year their isn't a lot of upgrades I can get into. Like an EFI.
I do all my passing and catching up in the corners. Handles like a charm. Especially stock. But I get left standing still on the straight. I'm coming out of the last turn about 11G, and come out hot, and mid straight I'm watching myself get passed. Then again back to hard work into the corners to get ahead.
My horrible cycle!
I didn't even see this thread or I would have told you to come over.
I was there riding in advanced.
I thought someone was saying he had burnt through the leathers in some spots and got some decent rash. The two guys right behind him before the crash had to split around him and they said they saw him actually look back at them while he was pinned under the bike with the "I hope I don't get run over" look. He also rode back in to the pits I think so awesome for him glad hes all good.
Yep I understand.
What kind of gearing are you running?Firstly it's a 2000 and carb. I got it for a steal. It's my street bike as well.

How's the bike running?
I really like the gsxr's. So I was thinking about moving to a 1000. Something more ideal for me.
Sorry I'm out rite now so I can't remember everything. But from stock I dropped 2 teeth in the back from stock gearing.
But can't remember what stock is off hand. But any help would be very helpful.
So far so good! The TC needs a bit of work and a tune will help but the bike handles really well. The suspension was really easy to get sorted, a front spring change (dead simple with the ktech cartridge), sag setup, and a few clicks here and there was all it seemed to need (aside from the offset triples) It feels very similar to my Gsxr so getting comfortable on the bike hasn't been an issue.
When the motors finished I'll have a very nice fresh one for sale.
That sounds like your going the wrong direction with the gearing.
Good to know. What direction should I be going with when it comes to gearing. I only went with this as this was what I was told to do from a shop.
Now as for the engine. How are your instal skills?!
You should be dropping teeth on the Front sprocket and Adding teeth on the rear sprocket.Sorry I'm out rite now so I can't remember everything. But from stock I dropped 2 teeth in the back from stock gearing.

yes your chain will fit -1 plus 2. Is only 1 tooth chain link difference. What gear were you getting to with that gearing. 3rd maybe 4th. With -1, stock rear on my 6. I get to 5th on both straights. If I add 2 on the rear I should get to 6th.To confirm here. Stock is 16/45
So I'm looking at a 15/47. Now with those sprockets I can stick with the size chain I have now? (more importantly because I have the new one at a "stock" size which I purchased. )
