Maxi scoots

Hey all! Been a while since I've posted, dealing with injuries.

Just wanted to ask what kind of maxi scooters, maybe 400-650cc range is easily accessible in Ontario? I've done some research but seems like they aren't even listed in Canadian websites... So I'm unsure if certain models are discontinued or only available in EU ASIA market.

And if you have ridden any, please give some feed back!

Seems like 400s will be manageable with my back and leg injury, but 650s maybe better for 2 up highway rides..?

Currently own a cb5x

Thank you! Really appreciate any replies

They're there:

Suzuki Burgman 400: 2022 Burgman 400
Kymco Xciting S400: XCITING S400
BMW C400 GT: C 400 GT

Also, there are the older models like the BMW C650GT, Burgman 650 and Honda Silverwing which you can still find used.

Calling @MacDoc . He's the maxiscoot evangelist. He had a few burgmanns (and maybe even one of each engine size). It's very very early in the morning for him so he might not reply for hours.

Damn you guys are fast. Thank you! ❤️ I've been definitely looking for one of the wrong ones - Honda x adv 😅

Great machines. But be warned they are "disposable" bikes. Very expensive to maintain in comparison.

Maxiscoots in general or the Xmax specifically? I know macdoc would chew through tons of expensive rubber.

Aprilia had a Max Biaggi edition SR50 scooter.

Not really into scoots, but I dig the paint scheme:

It'd be a great pit bike.

I think if I ride scooter one day I would def wrap it into some cool design for sure, not so hard nowadays :)

Most likely it will be ELECTRIC scooter by then - are there battery powered scooters available now from recognized brands?
I know Yamaha is def working on one...

those wheels are half of the look IMO = micro supermoto? :)

They do look the business. I've been reading up on the specs. This thing weighs 524 lbs wet. That's over 25 lbs more than my old R1200GS and more than most of the "mid-weight" adventure bikes out there...

I tell you, the industry is headed in the entirely wrong direction when even the scooters have turned into bloated pigs.

Thank you every one for the selections! My problem in the long run could be throwing the leg over my tall cbx, hip leg back cramps and all.. Currently waiting for some appointments and results... Will take it from there after

Much appreciated ❤️

@PaisaMed may have an SR50 IIRC. Not sure if it has the MB stickers.

When I first saw them I liked them but the sound makes me sad. I wanted it to sound like a ****** off hornet and it sounded like a mosquito. I've never ridden one.

Only Burgman size was the 650 Exe. Put 100,000 km on two them - very little maintenance cept they ate rear tires.
RDL seat could do 1,000 lm days in comfort. Power screen, heated grips and 120L of storage with no side bags.
Power Mirrors which was cool for tight garage storage.
Yeah heavy too. They had a long run for Suzuki ..just discontinued in 2018 after 15 years. Early models had birthing pangs. The Exec was big step up.

I suspect either a hybrid or a full EV or hydrogen fuel cell version. Best headlights I've had and superb weather protection

Briefly had the Honda equivalent Silverwing ...600 maybe..

Rode the BMW C650 around Mossport track on demo day since no one else knew how to ride an automatic
It was quite quick even without the ECVT of the BurgerKing but very awkward - ergos ...don't think they did well with it but seems there is an EV in the works.
That 750 cc Honda ADV version looks too cool.

Lot of bikes at $10k but the big Burgman was $15k and the Honda I think better.
