Seems to be a wide spread internet outage going on in Southern Ontario. I'm with Teksavvy and you can't even call them as their phone lines have been impacted. Using my mobile which still works. Since I can't do any work this morning thought I would call around for some parts. Can't get through to HD either.
Well since I can't do that might as well ***** about it on a MC forum :ROFLMAO:

yup. parents house, my house internet all down. personal phones are fido so can't reach anything.
thankfully work phone is bell so I can tether and work off that.
also have nice neighbours that are letting us borrow their internet as well.

edit: lots of places have no ATM/debit services so bring cash.
911 is also an issue. our daycare turned everyone away as they have no way to contact emergency services if something goes wrong.
 
cell is with Fido so no service (phone/text/data) however internet is with Cogeco and that's still working...can call using Facebook Messenger as long as I'm home and connected to my home internet...apparently it's been down across the country since 5am this morning...
 
I just happen to have to go into the office today and we're on BELL...so that's good I guess.

More people showing up because WFH isn't working very well...but still light load on staff.

Home internet is Rogers so that's dead in the water. Phones are with Koodo so they're working at the very least.
 
we just switched all our corp phones to Rogers (except me lol) to save money on data plans .
Right now we are tethering remaining Telus phones and mobile access points to have our critical services to function..
fun time for a network guy :)
 
Work phones Rogers - down
Work internet Rogers - down (we just switched to Bell in 2 hours) so back online now
Home internet Teksavvy - down
Personal phone Rogers - down
Wife’s phone Bell - Up
 
Everything up here. Wife went into work, but that's only because work wants them in.

who can guess what is the actual reason of Rogers downtime??
my list:
- security breach
- firmware update went wrong (last year massive downtime reason)
- hardware upgrade issue (4 years ago downtime reason)
 
Stopped at a bank on the way to run an errand at lunch. Got in and out just before the lineup started. People being triple parked in the parking lot.
