Riiight. I knew that too. Sorry, senior moment.

Shanahan is, like Kessel, a right handed shot but played on his off (left) wing.
Playing on the off wing gives the winger a better shooting angle at the goal, but harder to take the breakout pass and make cross-ice passes ;)

Right handed on left wing is only good for one-timers and Kessel is more of a quick wrister than a slapshot guy.
He uses a way to low of a flex stick to consistently be doing one timers.... Look at the flex in the video.

Leaf fans get ticketed for tossing Leaf uniforms on the ice last night.
They were also banned from going to a Leaf game for a year. ( reward, or punishment? )
Leaf mgmt still not charged for stealing fans money for the past 4.5 decades.
Where's the justice in all of this?

Derringer said on q107 this morning, who would have thought 25 years after the death of Harold Ballard that the Leafs would actually be in a worse position.

The curse of Keon lives on!

Greed coupled with stupidity at the top levels will do that. The money is rolling in, what do they care? "Real leaf fans" remind me of this

^ exactly. leafs are the worst professional sports franchise in north america. i compare them to gambling addicts... a win here or there and they are back with a pocket full of cash, ready to lose it again.

It's been genuinely sad going through 10 years worth of "Next year! CUP FOR SURE"

It's because you guys keep believing them every year when they say next year .... people just keep buying and watching. They are the best hockey money machine on earth. Until that changes you will just keep waiting.

10??? I've been hearing that since I knew what hockey was in the very early 80s.... and it started long before that. I was amazed in the 90s they made so much and had such a fan base. Now it's just laughable

I was at the Monday game with my two sons. The ACC was so quiet you could hear the player/bench chatter and crunching of popcorn from the upper bowl! We watched from the Leaf Alumni box...will withhold the details but in conclusion nobody in that box was happy with players and management. My sons actually turned to me and said a Hamilton Bulldogs/Brampton Beast/Guelph Storm game was 10 times better! Best part of the night, someone won the whole arena a free slice of cheese pizza from pizza pizza!

I hope these guys can turn it around to at least make the playoffs...

I'm doubting their ability to make it to the playoffs, let alone get in the playoffs.
The whole organization should be sent to the minors.

The need to throw this season and the next one.

Hopefully get lucky in the draft with high picks.........(haven't checked to see if they have traded their 1st round picks away)

This team won't be getting better for some time.

Why??? That's not what they really need. If they do somehow make the playoffs this year they will say they are not too far off ... LOL ... and this is how it continues on and on and on and on .... You should hope they will end up being dead last and that people will stop coming and buying .... so finally they properly draft, rebuild and feel the pain of doing so.

I saw them win it all once.
Then Harold doubled the cost of my Grandparent's tickets to $5, so they gave up the seats.

At least they won back then ... In the last decade they have not achieved much, yet they keep hiking steadily the prices without any back bone ... because people keep buying and coming.

people keep buying and coming.

This is the part that absolutely stumps me. I mean why would you want to go there and spend outrageous amounts of money when they're that terrible? The last time I was at a leafs game was in the gardens and even that was getting expensive for its time.
