Manslaughter for Passenger Fatality..

I would think that during the past 3 weeks, SOMEBODY knew it was this guy, yet nobody spoke up. I can understand (not condone) immediate family but friends, riding buddies?

the fact that it took him this long to turn himself in, or he didn't at all and had to be hunted down, leaves one very unsympathetic to this dude. if he didn't turn himself in, he's not much of a man, and i hope they got the right guy. he deserves what's coming.

Well, let's just wait and see if he gets convicted.
If, indeed it was this dirt bag. He deserves everything and more that comes his way in jail and after.
Any person who through his own Negligence or lack of caring, causes another to lose a life, deserves way more than the Canadian justice system hands out.

LMAO! Who actually is dumb enough even has the nerve to leave someone they know die on the side of the highway, after they fall off their motorcycle and think they will get away with it.. hahaha f'in people. but he will get what 3 years? or less lol

An OPP officer came up to us after our ride last week.. politely ask us questions regarding the passenger fatality.. from what he mentioned they already had an idea who and what the suspect rode.. Suzuki GSX-R (go figure) they just needed more concrete evidence to arrest the individual accused.. he was not tight lipped about it at all.. just trying to jog peoples memory of the date which the accident happened.

If this is indeed the right guy, I hope the charges stick and hope he actually sees some real jail time.

I posted on another thread a couple of weeks ago that through a credible source, the police knew who they were looking for after linking him to her through her electronic devices and they had a partial plate from a witness. I have known the name of the person, the 03 GIXXER 1000 he rode, but could not mention details. I can confirm their prime supect is the one they just arrested. He does go by the name Ritch, Richard as well as his given name.

I was also told that on more than one time, he has scared a passenger on the back of his bike.

Glad they have him and hopefully if it goes to trial a jury will view, text, email, facebook, voicemail as enough to convict him even though he was not caught at the scene.

Not sure where this was mentioned (another thread perhaps by either Turbo or Smoke) that if he is also charged with 'stunting', which in this case resulted in a death, he could be facing a life sentence.

Hope an example is made.. this is one instance where the stunting/streetracing legislation SHOULD be used to its fullest.

I hope the person who did this (if this is him) gets what they deserve to the full extent of the law. I don't however wish that they hang him out to dry just because they need to make an example. There have been others in the past who were wrongly convicted because they needed someone to make an example of.

Life sentance. He'll be out in 3 years.
That's life to some judges.

I would guess there may also be civil litigation brought by the girl's family after his trial is done, depending on what he is charged and convicted of. That might have greater potential to ruin his life than whatever sentence he ultimately receives from the courts.
