Not my go-to (which is Reuters) -- but my comment was simply an observation.
The GOP is still thoroughly enamoured by Trumpy and his dysfunction and as such aren't willing to convict him for has actions, as it's so close to their own personal ideals. Incredible to me, that a twice impeached (first in history) still has such puppet-master/fear strings in the party.
party politics, nothing new. don't eat your own.
Is Bill Clinton an impeached president?
Bill was booted during his role as president,
Although he will be in the records as being a president
Trump was not booted , although they did try twice
And the records will show that
Clinton was acquitted in the senate.

I guess the GOP got their wish though -- divide the country to the point that the hardcore base absolutely will not see any sort of reality.
Edit: Have sex with an intern and getting caught is obviously less serious than telling a rabid mob to attack the seat of the US government. Truly sad.
