I thought with state farm it's 25 for females and 30 for males right?! Maybe Katherine can chime in.

25 is the age with State Farm, or there would be a lot less 25-29yo guys on here riding SS bikes. TD will start writing people at an affordable rate on a SS when you reach 30yo. To understand this drop better, it's best to look at how the traditional "Class" rating variable (used for Auto Insurance) is broken down:
Class Rating Variable Levels (from Most Expensive to Least Expensive):
Class 10: Male, 16-18, Single (MOST EXPENSIVE)
Class 11: Male, 19-20, Single
Class 12: Male, 21-22, Single
Class 13: Male, 23-24, Single
Class 08: Male, 16-20, Married
Class 09: Male, 21-24, Married
Class 18: Female, 16-20, Married/Single
Class 19: Female, 21-24, Married/Single
Class 01: Male/Female, 25+, Married/Single (LEAST EXPENSIVE)
As you progress up the ladder toward Class 01, your premium decreases; however, the largest decrease is when you go from any class up to Class 01. There is a HUGE decrease for Class 01 because rather than being lumped with young single males (or whatever group you fall into), you are now being rated with the mature 25+ crowd. The claims experience of the 25+ crowd is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the 16-24 crowd, hence the big rate drop. You might still notice a smaller rate drop when, say, when you turn 21yo and progress from Class 11 to Class 12.
With all that being said, I think that in the future we will start to see a less drastic decrease at 25yo but instead a more gradual decrease from 21yo - 30yo. Due to new statistical methods, many companies are splitting your "Class" rating into it's components (Age, Gender, Marital Status) and analyzing them individually. I think that, in the future, the traditional "Class" rating variable will no longer be used.
