So much love on this one. Bmw took a not so positive direction for me with the cars recently but the bikes are on point aestheticly and physically IMO.

My guess is this is more comfortable. Sport touring over pure sport. Modern blackbird.

The majority of the people that can actually afford an M1000R are older and have bad knees.
Want all the performance of the M1000R but still be comfortable? Here's a M1000XR for you.
Multistrada Pikes Peak sales are good. Same reason people buy those over a Streetfighter for example.

You know what? I can't be annoyed about this, because I myself wish BMW would make a fully faired S1000?? bike with street focused ergos, but without the high-chair configuration of the S1000XR. Something along the lines of a Ninja 1000SX, GSX-1000F. Like the R1250RS but cooler?

Honestly….I would be all over this if it weren’t for the apparent lack of pannier mounts. It’s a bargain when compared to the PP Multi, and the RS even moreso. I would miss the blind spot detection and adaptive cruise the Multi has, but I’m sure I’d get over that pretty quickly

You would be surprised just how comfortable the 20+ S1000RR is and the R is even more comfortable then that.
