So i low sided my bike on a turn with gravel and sand thank god i was wearing gear. Here is the damage

Also on the same day, on my way home from yorkdale some dumb *** honda civic driver stops in the middle of a ramp and reverse missing me by a hair length!! :angry5:

Clearly today isnt my day...

So anyone can help if i can buff those scratches out or would i need a new fairing

my legs are fine just couple of cuts on the knee. I was just wearing jeans, body sorts of feels stiff at the moment.

Any idea where to buy fairing for cheap? I dont want to go to kahuna and have to pay 600$ to fix it.

Any way to smooth out the scratch and throw a decal on it and call it a day?

It's just aesthetics. Make sure your bike is fine before you worry about how your bike looks. Your ninja is attractive, but not when she's sitting on the side of the road, your helmet on the ground and you looking for help.

Glad your ok.

holy **** you got it bad...is that a 650r? i dropped mine like a dumbass a couple days after i bought it, I got lucky i landed it on the frame sliders have 2 hairline scratches about an inch long and a broken mirror...other then that i got off scotch free.

I looked up fairings after I dropped and man they aren't cheap, ebay has some though for like $300 per side? I think its $1000 for a full fairing kit, if I were you i'd plasti dip the fairings.

well after i picked it up, i checked for leaks, strange noises or bents. Everything seemed fine and i rode it for 10mins. I did notice that the steering was a bit off.

What else should i look at?

How does plastic dip work? where can i get it done?

Also thanks for the concern guys

Your paint color is i believe "candy plasma blue" its a three stage paint. To repair that damage and then repaint it. It will cost you more then ordering the part. I might be able to get you local $300 plus tax. You dont have to get from ebay

The Ninja 250R is a relatively cheap bike to fix compared to a super sport. I would personally buy a new side fairing, they aren't overly expensive. Check with your local dealer first before you commit to anything.

Glad you made it out with no real physical damage, it's a lesson learned. Keep the rubber side down and ride on, good luck!

You're alive and well so that's the best thing in this situation!

Yeah, i am very thankful that it was low speed, no cars around and that it was working after crash. I guess you have to fall to get back stronger.

So far i have two crashes under my belt :p

Zip ties, can of spray paint and duct tape if necessary.
Seriously

I had the identical scratches and crack on my Ninja 250 on my first year and I actually kept and sold it like that. It reminded me before each time I got on it how I shouldn't do anything stupid =)

At least you were wearing gear and you're ok. dealer for a new fairing. Can't be that expensive

If you're a new rider (which I am too, admittedly) I would just cover it up with a sticker for now, I wouldn't wanna spend $$$ to replace the plastics and then risk scratching the new ones up. If you're not new though, then yeah w/e you want.
