Lost my GoPro Hero 2!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss man..

This is why I would never use the suction cup mount. I like sticky mounts for my bike, never had a problem with that yet..

Funny thing is ive had my go pro attached via the suction cup at the track .. never had any issues with it falling off.

Didnt they say they tested the go pro suction mount, by attaching it to a plane wing?

Don't know if this was asked, was the suction cup affixed to a flat surface or a curved? Makes a big difference. I will take a look in the area to see if i can get myself a slightly used GOPRO.

Check the local cop shop, there is an off chance it was turned in.

And yes. From GoPro website.
Attach your GoPro camera with this industrial strength suction cup to cars, boats, motorcycles and more. Proven at speeds of 150+ mph. Strong enough to pull dents out of a car door (unfortunately tested and proven by GoPro) or stay attached to an airplane at 200mph+, proven though not endorsed by GoPro per FAA rules. NOT RECOMMENDED for surfboards, snowboards or other high-impact sports. Only recommended for non-impact activities

Had some time to kill, so I did a sweep of that area, both on the bike and on foot. Even checked the nearby fields and parking lots (not kidding); no sign of the camera or mounts.

If it stayed together and did indeed fall off along that stretch, it'd be pretty noticeable. I'm sure someone would've spotted it and probably grabbed it by now.

Sorry dude. I know how it feels, but looks like the camera is gone.

Keep an eye on eBay, Craigslist, Kijiji, and other classifieds for ads posted from the Toronto area.

it's a flat surface.

If you still have the reciept contact GOPRO and see if they will reimburse you for the "faulty" suction mount.

it's not like it was stolen or anything, if some lucky passerby happened to chance upon that treasure and post it up for sale, there's nothing the OP could do but buy it back... unless of course that's what you were suggesting in the first place..

If it was ascertained that it was the missing go pro; I would offer a finders fee. Who is to say other than the OP that the seller is not in possession of stolen goods.

Went for a drive thru there and noticed 4 schools, a plaza and a mall in a small area. In all likelyhood some kid picked it up and will be hanging on to it. I have checked Kijiji numerous times as i was myself look for GoPro accessories and did not see anything resembling the lost GoPro
