leslie lakeshore. whats with the gangs showing up

most of us are there to check out other bikes. these clowns show up and then their rivals and then they make a few calls then more show. regular folk start leaving.

was it just recently or will this be a trend. thought there was a law concerning showing your colors. wonder if the cops would come if a call was placed, or would that ruin it for everyone.

what have others seen

I've never been to a L&L. You need to be specific and state which "gangs" these are.

Outlaws and Hells Angels

LnL has been noticably more empty and there were a ton of cops there last Thursday. I'd like to say these guys are the poser idiots from high school but...they clearly aren't so I'd rather not risk watching something unfold.

great answer. glad to see the cops out. but they think everyone on bikes are outlaws.

So what if there's outlaws and angels there...rockets out number them all the time. And I know some outlaw members. They seem real down to earth! not everyone who dresses up to be them, plays the part..

why wear the gear and fly ur flag, its not a welcome site. sure one on one they are great people. its a bad vibe no one else does it. if they are not the real deal and just posers then loser comes to mind.

cops showing up makes it bad all round

Real gang members are some of the friendliest fellows you'll ever meet. Just don't **** with them, their business, their family or the innocent and they won't have a reason to attack you.
Anyone who goes out and assaults another person for no reason isn't a real gang member.

That is true for the most part. Unless you cross one they don't look for trouble. Though one mocked my bike it was hurtful. He called it a plastic Japanese sewing machine :thefinger:

In other news; Kawasaki has released concept designs for the engine of their newest WIP: The Kawasaki 251
This brand new motor is 251ccs of pure fun. The only downside is the rather low redline; starting at only 60RPM!

If these are really full patch riders who are showing up, then I would recommend that people who aren't involved with these organizations go elsewhere. Sure, I've met some who are regular folks and just love to ride. I used to have a group of Pair-a-Dice riders in my complex, before they were absorbed by the HA, who I talked to regularly and who invited me in for a drink on more than one occasion. To police, though, they're all members of a criminal organization. This means that you can end up on police lists for investigation, for associating with them. Just by being there, they invite additional police interest. Then there's also the possibility of turf related issues.

my buddy confirmed last thursday a bunch of cops on bicycles showed up and 2 cruisers pointed in the direction of said great guys a couple feet away with headlights on. not many regular people stuck around. on a side note, tons of OPP show up at port dover for the same reason

HA's new digs right around the corner on Carlaw south of Eastern. They're re-establishing their presence in the neighbourhood since the seizure a few years back. Perhaps the OMC still see the area as a vacuum.

The bike gangs have actually been present at L&L for about 4 weeks running now. Mainly HA and Outlaws, but I did notice some other colours as well. I hadn''t remarked that it had affected the turnout though as things usually peter out through August a bit. Still there must have been a couple of hundred bikes on average each Thursday throughout the month.

Last week was the first time there was a police presence, but they didn't seem to bother the club members or anyone else much. There were a couple of cruisers and maybe 4 to 6 bicycle cops. Maybe 10 cops total. A huge turnout considering I have hardly even seen any store security this year, let alone a couple of weeks when the cops did a quick drive-thru...not at Timmie's, but through the parking lot ;-)

The club members are definitely a small minority of bikers present at L&L, and they have kept to themselves and I haven't sensed any tensions at all between them. I also really don't think the cops are going to infer that because they showed up that everyone else present is somehow associated with them. Hell, the vast majority of bikes at L&L are Japanese sport bikes which would never be allowed withing a mile of most of the MCs :)

Lets make a Jap bike group of a couple hundred and run the 12 hoggers out of L&L...
