You mean I'm going to have to pay full pop for the day care for the kids I never had?

Yes , because my kids will continue to fund the CCP so you can live out your golden years happy. Least you could do is chip in for day care while I’m at work , also helping pay into the CPP.

Now when we need day care 24/7 so stripper moms can work the 2am shift , I’ll be on your side .

If a stripper can't afford child care, that's not a stripper I am interested in watching.

Here is a list of liberal candidates and their stupid ideas with zero attempt to determine cost or funding (sound familiar?). Glad I'm not voting. I don't have a single candidate in the list that I would trust with a task as simple as picking up an ubereats order.

Crombie:
Dumb ideas-10 paid sick days for everybody. More money for health care workers. Raise cost to enter a municipal election (cough, incumbent protection anyone), citizens assembly on electoral reform (more wasted talking with zero change or benefit to anybody), smaller class sizes by declaration (problem is funding/staffing not the desire for large classes)
Good ideas - allow municipal ranked ballots (but not provincial)

Erskine-smith:
Dumb ideas-10 paid sick days for everybody. More money for health care workers. Studies on sixplexes. more rent control. Creation of a "public builder" (no information at all, just a catchy title to light money on fire), expand voting to 16 year olds (f me, easily bought votes), MPP's free to vote (with a giant asterisk of except when he says so so again, this is just talk with no action)
Good ideas - ending exclusionary zoning, pre-approved multiplex plans, municipal ranked ballots

Hsu:
Dumb ideas-self-sufficient communities with mixed neighbourhoods along transit routes (the whole point of transit is easy access, this will be a crap show. a self-sufficient community in transit barren locations is far more important). Municipalities raise money through planning changes (that's going to make housing more affordable for sure). Dumbest idea of the campaign award is minimum wage at cost of living ($23 in GTA with ODSP and OW anchored to a percentage). By definition, this will grossly increase the cost of living as more money is fighting for the same resources. Shocking how big a failure this would be. Electoral reform (good in theory but he just says it and provides zero ideas)
Good ideas-Electronic health records (probably an epic cluster in implementation, but good in theory)

Naqvi:
Dumb ideas-Lower house prices by 135K by killing development charges (province pays for infrastructure required to support new homes), rent control, close gas plants by 2035 (no indication of where the power we need comes from), protected "farmbelt" (more political stupidity), hard cap on class sizeds, EA in every class up to grade 8 (not a terrible idea but where does all that money and labour come from?), air conditioning in every school (stupid, expensive, huge carbon and financial impact, etc. Far better idea to try to plant some trees around schools and do outdoor classes on the few afternoons it is too hot). transparent MZO's (the whole point of MZO is hand of god in the face of opposition, how do you make that transparent? We did it because the opposition was stupid and unjustified (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V)).
Good ideas- ease transition of international health care workers (good idea in theory, sounds like implementation would be a disaster as he would flood the system with his newly approved people and if accreditation wasn't rigorous, we are all screwed), fix LTB, bring back home ec and shop classes.

Edit:
Wtf is with their election process? I don't know if it is more offensive that they have multiple women-only groups that can vote or that they give those groups 5% of the votes of the main groups. In either case, it really stinks. I guess that is on-brand though. Pretending to acknowledge disadvantaged groups while doing almost nothing to change the situation. Lots of talk, little action.

"Each constituency association gets 100 points, to be awarded based on the percentage of the vote each candidate receives from members in that riding. As well, there are 10 student clubs that will award 50 points, and eight women’s clubs with five points each, for a total of 12,940 points."

So I take the money I saved by not having to pay for child care and turn around and give it to you so you don't have to juggle your budget to pay for it. Sounds good to you.

For me the final insult that broke the proverbial camels back was the "we are sorry to beseech your hallowed family name by even hinting that you are corrupt so here is several million tax dollars to right the wrong"

As expected, crombie going back to mississauga for a bit to suck at the public teat. If she got fired during her contract , she would be suing for millions. Resigning early in her quest for riches and power will also cost the public a fortune.

But she’s doing it for the good of the province, yes bi elections in places like Missisauga cost millions .
But its the liberal way!

I didn’t think it needed addressing because again, it is obviously a debacle. Shall I instead say it’s a nothing burger and you’re all blowing smoke? Boggle.

Also, now whose side stepping.

Hello pot, meet kettle?
It must be your turn to explain my side step….

Wonderful. All we need is a more complex bunch of THEORIES to confuse the masses that have already shown they are only interested in "What's free".

Wait until Ralphie the assembly line worker gets replaced by a robot that works four shifts without getting O/T, sick days statutory days, vacation pay or CPP. Or the plant moves to "Right to work" USA and Ralphie can't move down there because they won't accept him. Or he needs Medicare.

Most of this is self brought on by government and unions when it costs 250000 more for a machine made to Canadian safety specs vs the rest of the world it is cheaper to buy the world machine and a robot then put up a big fence to keep workers away. Bonus is you now don't need the worker so you save for the life of the machine.

Battery powered tools. Under XX volts they don't need CSA or at least not to the same extent. They only have to CSA the charger. The tools are cleared.

Few ever got electrocuted by a cordless drive . And it’s the charger that will set the house on fire .
CSA tried to extend powers past thier mandate by being “safety” guys on tools . That was challenged in the courts and they largely leave professional corded tools alone and focus on consumer tools . You’ve seen the move the switch to pull the tigger circular saw that’s actually more awkward than just pulling the trigger .
