We should play a game of pin the tail on the donkey.
According to rcmp's own intelligence there are better than 4000 organized crime groups manufacturing fentanyl in Canada at this moment.
If the crooks are like most businesses or organizations fully a third of them are hopelessly incompetent, sloppy and are destined for failure and therefore should be easy pickings for a competent, modern, well funded police service like the rcmp.
Lets see how many of these crooks our new fentanyl czar manages to round up.
If he manages to catch .1% each week(1 in 1000) that would be 4 per week and that would be a miracle.
Keeping in mind that this small of a percentage wouldn't be low hanging fruit it would be fruit that is on the ground stinking of fermentation proving that the rcmp is ether completely out of touch with their numbers or blatantly falsifying the situation.
Whey you appoint the previous deputy director of a hopelessly inept and almost completely useless organization, you should expect a hopelessly inept and completely useless response to fentanyl. He will be good at burning money though. RCMP has that down pat.

You think that they would bloody learn, but they never think that they'll get caught. They aren't helping justice happen. They're frustrating it.
Do they care about justice? Watched a tv show with a retired york region cop and his clerk wife looking for a 2M house to retire in. wtf. Compensation has completely left reality for the goon squad (for the cops, afaik, jail guard pay is still crap).

If you breach once, the hammer needs to be huge life life-changing consequences if you get caught again. Bail is treated as a joke by the system. It's a complete waste of time and money with almost zero benefit.

Seemed excessive to me too. I suspect that also includes replacement floors as they are now dirty and salty, as well as anything else they can add to pad the bill.

They're not gentle when they raid and/or search a place.
Peel Police made the news a few years ago because they showed up to the wrong house, the homeowner opened the door for them.. they told him to close it.. and then knocked it off.
I hope he gets a lot more than the 11K. Lucky he didn't have a dog.
I thought they never paid unless you sued them (and won)? Kicking in the wrong door should really be criminal charges. They are criminally incompetent at best.
