Late night thread

I'm tired tonight.

http://www.viceland.com/blogs/en/2010/02/09/the-science-of-the-creation-museum/

from the site, there's some more craziness there
The Creation Museum is a huge, fancy structure in Kentucky dedicated to teaching the world about “creation science”. Creation science, in a nutshell, is taking what is written in the book of Genesis literally. Even though what is written in the book of Genesis goes against anthropology, archeology, biology, zoology, geology, astronomy, cosmology, paleontology, and common sense-ology. Which, essentially, makes it a $27 million kid sticking its fingers in its ears and saying, “Nyah-nyah-nyah, I can’t hear you!”

MYSTERY SOLVED! Adam DID have a belly button. No penis though. Weird!

In case you were wondering, the reason there are different races is because of birth defects which caused early black people’s skin to discolor. See that picture of the brown couple with their white baby? That is proof of this.

I was raised catholic and in grade school we got taught that the book of genesis was written long after other parts of the bible and wasn't true, rather god created life in the form of evolution... (which I find ironic the way darwin was vilified by the church, but that's a different issue) it just cracks me up how some of this stuff is believed.

Lots more fun at the site in question though.

Went to the site some guy was eating another guy's heart - ick.

I was raised Protestant, but not one where all Catholics go to Hell.

Huh? Toast? Jesus?

A garrison of troops guarding the dairy display?

Im too lazy to start a new thread so i thought id ask here...

What is errbody doing for singles awareness day on sunday?

Any ideas or past places that have worked? Im kinda shot for ideas and would like to leech from your plentiful experiences:)

I am probably hanging out with some older men...

I came across this news story http://www.nola.com/superbowl/index.ssf/2010/02/maurepas_student_sent_home_fro.html

Maurepas student sent home from school for wearing Indianapolis Colts jersey

Wearing an Indianapolis Colts jersey just before they face the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl was enough to get a Maurepas High School student sent home on Friday.
While his classmates took advantage of a policy allowing them to trade their school uniforms for Saints jerseys and T-shirts, 17-year-old Brandon Frost, who grew up in Indianapolis, chose to wear a Colts jersey.
But Frost didn't even have time to sit down in his first-period English class before the principal of his Livingston Parish school yanked him out of class and told him he was being sent home for the day because of his choice in attire.
Frost and his family said that the decision was unfair, since the teenager's fellow students were allowed to support their team, and the Colts jersey hadn't caused any problems with others at the school.
"If they can wear their jerseys I should be able to wear mine," he said.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana agrees. The organization's executive director, Majorie Esman, sent a letter to Principal Steve Vampran on Friday afternoon calling on him to clear the incident from Frost's school record.

Man... that's lame
I'm not sure if this is worse http://www.thisistrue.com/blog-patrick_timoneys_gun.html

I'm going to be painfully aware that I'm single by celebrating a hangover.

I'm throwing a dinner party for 14 friends on Saturday night, so I'm sure we'll have a drink or two.

There's a couple singles dances going on but I can't be bothered. If i wasn't single I'd be putting up with some one else's crap.

I'll be going to a recital, but then again I'm married.

Saw Avatar, last night now, we all enjoyed it, but the theatre was packed.

I watched avatar on my computer. I enjoyed it even if it was pocahontas with 20 foot smurfs

Had chinese food cause it's chinese new year.

Isn't that a sick bird? :laughing8:

Recital was good. You really need to see Avatar in 3-D on the big screen to get the most out of it, but I don't like the $3 surcharge for glasses that you then give back to them for free.

Had pasta at Shakey's for dinner/Chinese New Year.

So what was so enjoyable about it. I haven't seen it but feel free to spoil the plot for me if you need to. Same goes for Titanic (the movie of course), never saw it, still can't imagine why it was such a big deal.
