We are looking for a dynamic Digital Planner to enhance our website and web properties. This role will focus on content optimization, usability research, and aligning digital strategies with marketing objectives.

Core Needs:

  • Excellent web writing skills
  • Ability to review web analytics/content audits and recommend opportunities for content optimization and consolidation.
  • Familiarity with web publishing through a Drupal-based CMS
  • Understanding of digital content, SEO, accessibility, and usability best practices
  • Ability to work with a defined brand strategy and content pillars to align web content with our marketing and communications objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Management and Optimization (50%)
    • Develop and optimize web content across the georgebrown.ca ecosystem.
    • Review web analytics and content audits to recommend optimization opportunities.
    • Utilize excellent web writing skills to ensure engaging and effective content.
  • Usability Research & Documentation (20%)
    • Conduct usability testing and focus groups.
    • Document UX strategies and develop user personas and journeys.
  • Marketing & Communications Initiatives (10%)
    • Support projects like the Program Viewbook and Convocation.
    • Align web content with brand strategy and content pillars.
  • Resource Management (20%)
    • Manage and mentor interns and the video producer.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Handle the management of Gage.
Education and Experience:

  • 3-Year Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Experience.
  • Experience in content marketing, usability research, and web publishing.
Special Skills:

  • Superior leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and digital copywriting abilities.
  • Familiarity with Drupal-based CMS and SEO best practices.
  • Understanding of accessibility and usability standards.
  • Familiarity with GBC is a plus.
Tools and Compliance:

  • Proficient in Siteimprove, Google Data Studio, and Google Analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with AODA, WCAG, CASL, and college policies.
